บท 40: Doubt in the air

KARA'S POV

SHE searched my eyes for a moment. She then slowly nodded her head.

"Okay, then. Now don't cry or you'll ruin your makeup and your father and the King will wonder what happened," I said as I took out a handkerchief from my dress to help wipe away her tears. I did the best I could trying not to ruin her makeup.

I'm so sorry Your Highness," She apologized. "I don't know why I'm like this."

"There's no need to apologize" 

I was making Eleanor a big promise but I had every intent to follow through with it.

"What do you have in mind, Your Highness?" She asked. 

"Start by sending me an invite to your estate under the guise of wanting to show me around and thank me for having hosted you here at the palace when your father and Aldric head to the port towns," I told her. "I'll explain it all to you then."

"Alright," she said having composed herself.
