"I disagree with the annulment!"

She stated, her words taking everyone by shock.

"What do you mean? You want to live with the general instead, Lady Ming?"

Suddenly the voice of no one ofher than The Grand Duke Lu was heard.

Walking towards the crowd, he looked as majestic as ever as all eyes were now fixed on both he and Ming Mei.

"You didn't let me finish Grand Duke," she said with a slight smile.. turning to the emperor, Ming Mei then explained.

"I and my mother prayed to the heavens before the wedding ceremony. And one if my prayer point was that the God's would lead me to the right man who would bring peace and prosperity to the empire."

"Are you saying the crown prince isn't the right man or can't bring peace to his kingdom?" Asked the emperor.
