บท 2: He is not interested in her
"yes father, turns out we have a lot in common, we had a pleasant and a long conversation last night"a warm smile lit up on his face as he spoke and his voice very different from the cold voice he spoke to Hazel with.He seemed different with family.
He was lying!
Hazel did not not dare to speak, everyone looked at her indifferently which made her uncomfortable.the food was served and everyone began to eat ,two sisters that looked very much alike across the table were fighting over something and everyone ignored them like it was usual .a matured woman was sitting next to Hazel,she is the only one that has not spoken.
Nobodyelse noticed,but Hazel's plate was still full,she has not been eating, Hazel was separating the vegetables from the rice with her chopstick.while her other hand was moving awkwardly under the table .
she was panicking!
Levi noticed this because he has been observing her the whole time and he knew she was uncomfortable, he reached out to her hand under the table and placed his hand on her hand , giving her a reasuring smile which only appeared in his eyes.somehow this managed to calm her down and she ate quietly avoiding his eyes. She stuffed the food into her mouth.The only person that noticed this communication between Levi an Hazel was his biological sister ,Namra who smiled to her self . Maybe her brother has found someone he likes.she could happily get married now.
After the meal, Levi held Hazel's hand and excused himself.he dragged her through the hallway and into their room and then he let go of her . Hazel turned the other way while he removed his shirt an dressed in an official attire for Generals .He wore a brown coat with long collar ,a pair of brown geans.a black pair of shoes and a Soldier's Hat. without a word he took his gun and left.
Hazel sat on her bed as tears streamed down her eyes .A knock came on the door and she quickly wiped her tears .The door slowly flung open without waiting for anyone's permission.
A woman suddenly jumped in and closed the door behind her.
"Hello sis?"
She pulled her up and hugged her tightly, like an exited child that was given an ice cream,she almost pushed Hazel to the ground.she pulled away shortly.
" Sit down and I will tell you the history of my brother"she breathes hastily and then she remembered something.
"Oh, sorry, my name is Namra ,I am the crown prince blood sister ,I know he just considers me as one of his sisters because he doesn't consider my other sisters , half sisters,he takes them as real sisters but I just consider myself very precious, cuz I am my brother's blood sister".she spoke really fast and Hazel didn't get all of it ,so the twins are not The crown prince real sister?,and what about the empty seat at the dinning who owns it ?
Namra is Levi's biological sister, when their mother died,king Jiang ,Thier father got married again to a very good woman who also loved them like her own children,she never discriminated between them which made them love each other alot ,the second son Dean was currently out for his training.
The twins were betrothed,Darla and Diana always fought over everything and also fought over a man, so their father betrothed them to different men of different kingdoms.Namra kept rejecting all the men that proposed cuz she was waiting for someone...
She was smart and beautiful.she acts matured but she is actually a child when with people she loves.
Namra narrated everything she could and ended with
".....My brother loves me a lot but doesn't express it much.he doesn't know how to express himself so I hope you understand him better"
Hazel now understood the reason he was so cold towards her.
"If you ever get into a fight with my brother ,my room is always open, don't tolerate him too much , fight back!"she winked .
Being with Namra is so much fun ,she didn't even realize it was time for lunch ,the maid served her lunch and she shared it with Namra. For the first time Hazel ate comfortably here .she only said a few words, while Namra did the talking she was just the one to laugh.she laughed so much her cheeks started paining her . Hazel loved her sister in law, it felt like she could tell her anything .
"Be Free and don't let my brother's Aura intimidate you ,His heart is soft and warm unlike his cold Aura "Namra assured . Hazel nodded her head .
the door opened.
Levi opened the door, shocked to see his talkative sister and his wife together having a conversation that seemed to be very funny cuz he
Could hear Thier laughter from outside.what was she telling her, Everything!!
He glared at Namra who was enjoying the whole situation, Hazel looked down avoiding his cold eyes. Namra stood up with a big smile on her face
"Hello brother,I was just catching up with your wife". she said immediately and left ,she turned around and winked at Hazel.Levi was watching each and every move with a calm face .
Hazel stood up and bowed . "Greetings your highness". She kept her head low and waited for him to reply. When she didn't hear him reply ,she slowly raised up her head,and found him looking at her.
Hazel did not,stand close to him ,she kept her distance. She felt he was looking at her because of the distance between them. His deep dark eyes stared at her like he could see through her. Under his domineering gaze , Hazel couldn't help but feel vulnerable.He averted his gaze from her ,and started taking off his jacket. Hazel mustered courage and went to help him. Before she got close to him,he put his hand, mid-air signaling her to stop .
She stopped.she wanted to talk to him. But she is scared of him. She is with him alone in this room ,and he might do something to her.
Hazel was Lost in thought for a moment. Fighting with her brain to gather up courage and talk to him. She finally got enough but when she opened her mouth to say something, he walked out the door.
Again,she failed!
He always keeps leaving. He was not interested in her ,in any way. He wouldn't even let her come close. When he held her hand, this morning, when he placed his hand on her hand, when she was nervous. Her heart fluttered . She thought they had a thing going on . Now ,she was disappointed. She was married to a man she didn't even know his name. Other than the information she got from Namra ,she knew nothing else about him.
Hazel lay on her bed in deep thoughts. She wanted this marriage to work. She isn't going to spend the rest of her life like this. She decided she will talk to him this night .Soon she fell asleep. When she woke up,it was already dark. Lisa lit a few candles ,and prepared a bath for her . After taking her bath , she put on her night dress,and waited for Levi , to come back.
While waiting, she was preparing for what to say to him and how she would say it.
"Don't be scared,he is your husband ,he won't bite you ", she assured her self.
Soon,a knock came on the door and Lisa opened it. A guard came in. He bowed respectfuly, " Good evening my lady, I am here to inform you that, his highness won't be coming". Hazel became sad ,she had prepared a lot to say to him tonight.
"He personally asked me to relay this information to you ".the guard added.
"Do you know where he went to ?". Hazel asked.she knew the guard won't tell her, even if he knew but she still asked anyway.
" He did not permit me to disclose his where about to you ,my lady "
Hazel nodded sadly."you can go".
The guard bowed and left.
Hazel slept alone . In the morning when she woke up Lisa was already in the room. She took her bath and had her breakfast . Lisa left shortly and Hazel was alone in the room.She gets bored and decided to take a walk outside. immediately she opened the door to step out she bumped into something. when she looked down she saw a little girl of about 5 years old.
"Hello little girl ". Hazel bent to her level .
"I am not a little girl " .she said.
Hazel laughed.
" good day my lady ,I am here to see the crown prince " .she straightened her back and her shoulders, she acted and dressed like a princess.
Hazel stopped laughing and looked at the adorable little girl in front of her with a serious face. " His highness is not here" .
the little girl's face turned red with dissatisfaction ,disappointment was clear in her voice when she said "I see ,I'll come back later "
"I'm about to have lunch care to join me ?" hustle asked. the little girls stopped and thought about it, then she nodded." I'll have lunch while I wait for his Highness "she smiled and followed Hazel .
Different dishes is served and Hazel couldn't wait to dive into her food .immediately the maid left , Hazel started eating, she stuffed food into her mouth like a hungry person .the little girl looked at her suspiciously .
" who are you?" she asked .
" my name is Hazel ". Hazel said .the girl gave her a look that says "and ?" Hazel continued." princess of Zingano, wife of crown prince" .
"it's nice to meet you princess hazle "she said respectfully. " my name is Hana ,daughter of the second prince, Niece of the crown prince."
Hazel swallowed hard. "you're my husband's niece "
A sad expression appeared on her face, without answering Hazel 's question she said," my uncle doesn't love me anymore ,he has been avoiding me and he tells me to go, if I come visit him ".
" why ?did you do something Hazel asked with concern .
"I think my father told him to stay away from me, he also told me to never come here "
"why would your father do that".
" father doesn't like my uncle he said he's a very bad man ,but I know is not a bad man, he's a very good man . he's very good to me. Hana explained.
Hazel opened her mouth to say something and then a very angry voice shouted,"Hana!". " Hana!".
Hana stood up, immediately, "oh! No!it's my mum" she ran out the door and Hazel followed .
" Hana come here" Elsa commanded .Hana ran to her and Elsa began scolding her daughter. " I told you never to come here did I not ? is it not enough that you're a girl ,and then you become a naughty girl." she yelled.
Hana lowered her head as she got scolded. she knew she is causing too much trouble for her mother because she's not a boy and a mother is frustrated . Elsa was done yelling, she turned to Hazel "I am very sorry if she caused you any trouble" she said in an apologetic tone .
"it's all right ,she caused me no trouble ".
"I am Elsa ,wife of the second prince " Elsa said . Hazel looked at the woman with a beautiful small face ,and a gorgeous body, a long black hair tied behind her. she suddenly wished she had black hair but she was blonde.
" nice to meet you" Hazel said with a smile.
" my quarters is nearby, feel free to visit anytime. "
Hazel nodded with a smile. Elsa dragged Hana with her . Hazel thought of what Hana told her about her father not liking Levi. She sighed, she might spend the rest of her life, trying to understand this husband of hers..
"I will have to talk to him " she thought to her self, before she went back to her room .
