บท 56: Chapter 52: Ambush

Luo'er was the first to recover from the chaos of the overturned carriage. He clung to his gun and strained to climb out of the cart. Semi-crouching on the ground, he pushed the gun's safety to the bottom and pulled the trigger continuously in the general direction of the gunfire.

After a few brief bursts of fire, a crossbow bolt flew over from somewhere, hitting the overturned cart. Looking at the trembling tail of the arrow, Luo'er knew they couldn't stay here; their location was all too obvious. He waved his hand and commanded loudly, "Everyone, retreat into the jungle! Little Ke, prepare to suppress the enemy's fire and cover our retreat!"
