King started realizing that Hiran and his father were right from the beginning. It was better if the boy wanted to be with him. Forcing the boy may get him what he wants, but it would change the boy. For the boy to remain like he wanted, the boy must willingly consent.

He tried to convince himself that those changes wouldn't matter, but they did. Each time he closed his eyes to sleep, all he kept seeing was the despair in the boy’s eyes. He would sit in the control room, watching the boy sleep all night long. The only time he was able to get a sound sleep was when the boy was in his arms. It was as if he had turned into a sleeping pill.

He started making things hard for Master Ken. He made him change the training plan more than five times until he finally approved a very gentle plan. Master Ken already told him this new plan wouldn't work, but after that massage, King felt that Master Ken was wrong.
