One week later.

Lotus slowly opened her eyes, blinking away the remnants of sleep as she found herself in the luxurious bedroom of her grand mansion. Rubbing her temples, she sat up and glanced at the clock on her bedside table. It was 7 a.m. She sighed deeply, realizing that the time had come to face her past and mend the broken bonds with her children.

Just as she was about to swing her legs out of bed, the door creaked open, and her lifelong friend, Sarah, entered the room. Sarah's soft brown eyes were filled with concern as she asked, "Lotus, are you ready?"

Lotus hesitated for a moment, gazing down at her hands. "I... I need just a minute, Sarah," she murmured, her voice filled with a mix of apprehension and hope.

Sarah nodded understandingly and gave her a reassuring smile. "Take all the time you need, my dear. You've come so far, and now it's time for this important step towards reconciling with Jenny and James."
