บท 35: Ch 31 Sparring

As Ichiro entered the familiar coffee shop, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloped him, bringing with it a sense of comfort. Amidst the chatter of other patrons, he heard a familiar voice calling out to him.

"Hello, Gojo Sensei," Ichiro greeted, a smile spreading across his face as he spotted Gojo sitting at a table.

"Yo, Ichiro, good to see you," Gojo replied, returning the smile as they exchanged greetings. They settled into their seats, the cozy ambiance of the coffee shop providing the perfect backdrop for their conversation.

"So, what favor are you asking, Ichiro?" Gojo inquired, a hint of curiosity lacing his voice as he leaned forward slightly.

Ichiro took a moment to gather his thoughts before responding, knowing that what he was about to ask was no small request. "Well, the thing is, I want you to train me," he admitted, his tone earnest yet determined.

"Train you?" Gojo repeated, a playful glint in his eyes as he considered Ichiro's request. Without missing a beat, he nodded, his agreement coming surprisingly easy. "Sure, why not?"

Ichiro couldn't help but be taken aback by Gojo's swift acceptance. "Are you sure?" he asked, a hint of uncertainty creeping into his voice. "Aren't you busy with work, you know, exorcising and all?"

"Nah, it's alright," Gojo reassured him, waving off any concerns with a casual flick of his hand. "I can make time. So, let's go?" he suggested, already rising from his seat and heading towards the exit.

"Ye-yeah," Ichiro stammered, momentarily caught off guard by Gojo's enthusiasm. With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, he followed Gojo out of the coffee shop, ready to embark on this new journey of training under the guidance of his esteemed mentor."

As they settled in the back seat of the car and ijichi drove off, Ichiro couldn't contain his curiosity and eventually turned to Gojo with a question.

"So, Gojo Sensei, where are we going?" Ichiro inquired, trying to feign innocence despite already knowing the answer.

"Tokyo Jujutsu High, that's where we're going," Gojo replied nonchalantly, his gaze fixed on the road ahead.

"Ohh, I see," Ichiro responded, his tone lacking the surprise or excitement Gojo had anticipated. His reaction caught Gojo off guard, prompting him to raise an eyebrow in amusement.

"Hmm, that's not a reaction I see often," Gojo remarked, his curiosity piqued by Ichiro's subdued response.

"Why so?" Ichiro's question was genuine, but his demeanor remained composed, almost detached.

"Normally children your age are quite curio-- you know what, never mind," Gojo interrupted himself mid-sentence, a knowing look passing between them. He remembered all too well the events that had unfolded a few years ago when he had revealed the truth about Ichiro's father.

"Forgot you're different than the other children," Gojo added, a subtle acknowledgment of the unique circumstances surrounding Ichiro's upbringing. With that, the conversation lapsed into a comfortable silence as they continued their journey towards Tokyo Jujutsu High, each lost in their own thoughts.

As they arrived at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Ichiro couldn't contain his excitement at the sight of the expansive campus.

"Wow, this place is huge!" he exclaimed, his eyes scanning the impressive surroundings.

'Now that I'm here, I can't help but want to wander around to see the rest of the campus,' Ichiro added, his enthusiasm palpable.

"Now then," Gojo interjected, drawing Ichiro's attention away from the sprawling campus. "Before we begin our training, why don't we take some time to explore the school? Think of it as a tour to familiarize yourself with the layout and facilities."

"Alright," Ichiro agreed eagerly, already eager to embark on this impromptu adventure with gojo

With that, they set off to explore Tokyo Jujutsu High, Gojo leading the way with Ichiro following closely behind. They wandered through the corridors, taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling school environment. From the training grounds to the classrooms, Ichiro marveled at the various facilities that the school had to offer.

As they continued their tour, Gojo took the opportunity to point out key areas of interest and provide insights into the history and significance of Tokyo Jujutsu High. Ichiro listened intently, soaking in every detail with a mixture of fascination and excitement.

By the time their tour came to an end, Ichiro felt a newfound sense of familiarity with his surroundings, ready to begin his training with renewed determination

As they toured around the school, they stumbled upon a familiar figure, a man sporting sunglasses with a panda companion by his side.

"Hey, Yaga Sensei!" Gojo greeted Yaga with his trademark playful demeanor, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Saturo, what are you doing here? Don't you have something better to do?" Yaga grumbled in response, his tone reflecting his usual no-nonsense attitude.

"Now, now, Yaga Sensei, there's a kid here, so shouldn't you be showing a smile instead of being grumpy?" Gojo countered, his playful banter flowing effortlessly.

As Gojo mentioned Ichiro, Yaga's attention shifted to the young boy standing behind him. "Hmm? Who is that?" Yaga's curiosity piqued as he finally noticed Ichiro's presence.

"This is Ichiro, Ichiro Fushiguro," Gojo introduced with a proud smile, gesturing towards Ichiro as if presenting him to Yaga.

"Hello, Yaga Sensei. Nice to meet you," Ichiro greeted politely, offering a respectful nod.

Yaga regarded Ichiro with a keen gaze, assessing the young student before him. yaga then returned the greeting. "Likewise, Ichiro. Welcome to Tokyo Jujutsu High."

Meanwhile, Gojo couldn't contain his excitement, bouncing on his feet behind Ichiro with childlike enthusiasm, his excitement palpable.

"By the way, this is Panda," Yaga introduced the panda companion to Ichiro with a nod.

"Hello, Ichiro-san," Panda greeted Ichiro warmly, his voice surprisingly gentle for such a large creature.

"Hello, Panda. Nice to meet you," Ichiro replied with a genuine smile, feeling a mix of excitement and disbelief at meeting one of his favorite characters in real life.

'Wow, I'm seeing Panda now. This is the best! All the otakus in my past life would die just to meet these characters in real life. Now that I get the chance, I'll enjoy this to the fullest,' Ichiro thought to himself, barely containing his excitement.

"So, what brings you here, Ichiro?" Yaga's question brought Ichiro back to the present, his curiosity evident as he awaited Ichiro's response.

"Well, the thing is, I asked Gojo Sensei to train me, so he brought me here," Ichiro explained, his determination shining through in his voice.

"I see. In that case, why don't you and Panda train together?" Yaga suggested, a hint of amusement in his tone as he observed Ichiro's reaction.

'Huh, how did it come to that? I just came here to train, so how did it all end up with me sparring Panda?' Ichiro wondered inwardly, slightly taken aback by the unexpected turn of events.

"Oh, that's a great idea. Why don't you give it a try, Ichiro? It's a good way for me to assess your level," Gojo added, his tone encouraging.

In a resigned tone, Ichiro agreed, though a part of him couldn't help but feel disappointed. 'Although I don't mind, but I really want to try fighting Gojo. Sigh, but it can't be helped. I guess I'll just hold it in.'

"Alright, so where do we fight?" Ichiro inquired, eager to begin the training session with Panda."

Yaga then led the way through the hallway, Gojo trailing behind with an air of excitement. As they reached the training ground, Yaga turned to address Ichiro.

"Alright, before we start, Ichiro, are you fully prepared?" Yaga's voice held a hint of seriousness, indicating the importance of the upcoming training session.

Ichiro nodded in response and reached for his weapon, the Solid Strike Cleaver, which was wrapped in a piece of white cloth. With careful precision, he unwrapped it, revealing a thick katana-like blade with a red tassel dangling from its handle.

"That's a powerful cursed weapon, Ichiro. Judging from the amount of cursed energy it emits, its level is around special grade," Yaga observed, his eyes scanning the blade with interest.

"Well, this is a gift from my father," Ichiro explained with a proud smile, his expression tinged with nostalgia. However, his smile quickly faded, replaced by a determined grin.

"Now then, shall we start?" Ichiro's voice held an edge of anticipation as he readied himself for the training ahead.

Yaga nodded in approval, acknowledging Ichiro's readiness. "Very well. Let's begin," he replied, his tone firm as he prepared to oversee the training session between Ichiro and Panda.

With a sense of purpose, Ichiro took his stance, the weight of his weapon resting comfortably in his grip. As he awaited Yaga's signal to begin, a surge of excitement coursed through him, fueling his determination to prove himself in this new challenge.
