บท 280: Marry Her Soon

"Where were you last night?" Harold stopped in his tracks when he saw Elene standing there with her hands on her hips. Her eyes glaring at him. A hint of irritation filled him. This woman… She is forgetting her position day by day. But he hid it and smiled at her.

"Where could I have been? I was on Baker street." he spoke honestly. "You can ask the servant there if you do not trust me." she frowned. These days, Harold is behaving differently. Though they have been sleeping together almost daily and had been active in intimacy, he had been ignoring her in the daytime after the auction.

"Why were you there?" She needed to tread carefully. If she forced him too much, he would leave her. But if she did not ask questions at all, he would treat her like Eve and leave her when the time comes. She could not let that happen.
