บท 94: Face Off

"No, let it be here." The maid looked at the bucket and then at Evangeline in confusion. She was suddenly too conscious about her posture and noticed she had splashed a few droplets.

"I.. did i make a mistake, your grace?" The woman bowed lower. Her posture tightened. 

"Ah, no. Would you go and fetch the breakfast first, please." the maid could only bow then. Hoping that Evangeline was telling the truth. She placed the bucket right there and left the room with the speed of the snail.

"And.. inform other maids to not bring water until I finish my breakfast." she added hurriedly when the maid reached the door.

She took a deep breath of relief when the maid left. But when she turned… her breath went quick again. The devil was luring her.. There could be no other reason. She had gone to church all her life and prayed to god. How could she have such lewd thoughts!
