บท 22: Solomon’s Second Possession
The theory about Lemegeton Eye and this bizarre moon might have some possibilities.
It would not hurt to try.
The small one boosted Xian vital essence inside his body and flew up to the moon’s direction. The higher he flew, the more intense the black magical alphabets’ pressure he could feel.
Trying to get closer to the moon, Merlin had to heavily bear the impact of the barrier’s pressure.
BANG!
He failed.
Although Merlin could endure its pressure, he was not able to penetrate through the black-alphabets barrier.
Not only was the barrier so strong, but also full of mysterious energy. As soon as Merlin touched it, he fell down.
BOOM!
Merlin’s body was forced to fall down crushing the ground; that area was turned into a large hole. Rocks and dust were smoking up.
“Why isn’t Lemegeton working?” His face said that he was worried.
Merlin was disappointed when it did not go as he had hoped. His theory failed.
“There’s got to be something wrong.”
He refused to give up on his theory.
The boy leaped to the moon countless times.
Merlin spent several days to prove his belief; alas, no matter how many times he tried, the eye never had any reactions. But that did not discourage him.
Finally, a few days later, it started to respond.
Merlin had to be extremely patient to get to the secrets of Lemegeton Eye; he had used it to look at the moon countless times.
And on that day, its special skill appeared.
When some magical power flowed into his right eye, his sight slightly changed.
Merlin practiced harder to get accustomed to Lemegeton Eye; his vision had tremendously increased. With this eye, he could see through everything, even the moon up there. There was no exception.
Merlin transferred magical power to his right eye and looked at the core of the moon.
What he was seeing was a round, translucent object. And inside its core was the root of the mysterious energy.
Merlin smiled; he had found some secrets lying inside the moon.
Without hesitation, he flew up to the moon while trying harder to look at its core with his special eye.
Suddenly, Merlin’s eye was connected to that moon’s core; it fused the magical power in his body with the core’s energy. It moved directly to his eye.
At that moment, the Lemegeton Eye started working.
Merlin’s right eye shone out a golden gleam brightly; its brightness almost lit up the whole sky.
When Merlin’s body got close to the black-alphabets barrier, the power of his eye made that wall flexible and expanded.
The expansion of the barrier did not have any effects on Merlin’s body; he was not rejected or bounced back like the last time.
He was very happy.
However, his body started to feel exhausted; the magical power inside his body was drying out and decreasing. Likewise, the golden gleam from his eye was also fading out.
The barrier’s resistance was dying.
Eventually…
BOOM!
Merlin was strongly ejected; that ejection force got him stuck into the ground which now was turned into a huge hole because of that small explosion.
Merlin was only slightly injured as the Xian vital essence helped him a great deal. His eyes were hopeful. What just happened earlier was almost successful.
Closing his eyes trying to make sense of Lemegeton, Merlin felt that his eye responded to magical power. And for the recent situation, the eye ran out of energy because not enough magical power was transferred there.
And in the end, when there was no more magical power, the eye ran out of power as well. That was why he got kicked out.
Opening his eyes, they were now shining, Merlin had partly solved the mystery of how to use the eye’s power.
“At least, I know now how this eye works.”
For sure, its mechanism worked with the magical power being transferred into the eye.
Now Merlin was only a magical practitioner; there was not enough magical power to spend getting him to the moon.
But heaven had not deserted him. Before getting here, Merlin had made a lot of magical-power-restoring potions and kept them in his ring. So now he was affluent having all these resources.
Merlin leaped up to the sky again. This time, when he got close to the black-alphabets barrier, he immediately transferred the magical power to his Lemegeton Eye.
The magical power in his body started fusing with the moon’s core energy and moving into his right eye again.
Golden ray brilliantly shined out of his eye. The barrier expanded once again.
Realizing he was running out of magical power, Merlin took a power-restoring potion out of the ring and drank it right away.
His magical power was immediately boosted.
Merlin dashed up to the bizarre moon and kept getting closer to it.
He soon realized that it was not the moon but a gigantic mass of glowing energy.
His magical power was quickly used up like leaking water. It was instantly restored with hundreds of potions.
And finally,
His hands touched the unearthly moon.
BANG!

///BOOK TWO, ARS GOETIA, UNSEALED///
A strange voice echoed in Merlin’s head.
As soon as he touched that light, the black-alphabets barrier disintegrated. The moon shined out the last time so brilliantly as if it was going to explode.
That light did not burn or hurt Merlin even a bit.
It was just so bright that he could not open his eyes.
The whole dimension was distorted.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The sound like glass cracking came out continually. This realm was about to be destroyed; the whole land was rolling in. And the moon-like light mass started to explode constantly.
This event made Merlin pass out.
Without knowing how much time had passed, the boy opened his eyes again.
In front of him, it was a familiar scene. This place was the beginning of everything; it was where he came from: the hallway of the secret room where he fell down the strange hole.
The hallway was still in the same condition. There were no cracks on the ground, not even that hole he fell into. There remained only the trace of the sword on the stone.
As if everything was just a dream.
Suddenly, a strange voice uttered loudly in his head.
/// O, master… With all my heart, I am willing to answer to you…Please let me be your weapon to fight the enemies… My great master, call out my name. ///
Without the sentence being finished, unconsciously, Merlin uttered a word.
“Reveal yourself, Longinus.”
Merlin had no idea that when his right hand touched the moon, there appeared a mysterious red alphabet on the back of that hand.
As soon as Merlin’s voice died, he felt hot flashes on his right hand. Suddenly, that red alphabet melted and turned into a liquid leaping up in the air.
BOOOM!
Right then, there appeared in front of him, a red, peculiar-shaped spear. It looked like two red solid objects spiraling together; its end split into two ways.
A massive amount of magical power came out of this spear; it was filled with formidable auras as if it were the highest figure of all spears.
Without knowing, that small hand reached out and grabbed it.
The powerful magical power came flushing into his body like an erratic river.
Merlin’s magical power kept increasing until it reached the fifth section of the magical-practitioner level.
It was the same level Arthur was at when he unsealed the Spiritual Weapon.
And certainly, this Longinus spear was also a Spiritual Weapon.
Although the amount of magical power he gained from the weapon was immense, unfortunately, each level had a limit at its fifth section.
It was the bottleneck of each magic level.
When the practitioners had cultivated their powers to the fifth section, every one of them had to drill the levels. It could be said that this was the bottleneck of the wizards.
Merlin contemplated the things he had gone through.
One of the things he could think of was the unsealing of Lemegeton’s second book.
“If it is what I think it is. To unseal each of Lemegeton’s great magics, one had to possess Solomon’s possessions. And surely, this Longinus spear had to be one of those because as soon as I held it, the second book, Ars Goetia was unsealed.”
‘The Great Magics of Lemegeton’ was composed of five books; that being said, there had to be five of Solomon’s possessions.
Now Merlin owned two of them; he needed to find three more and unseal the true ability of the five great magics.
He concentrated and used his Lemegeton Eye to detect the second great-magic book.
Book two: Ars Goetia was the science talking about the seventy-two sealed demons. They were once under Solomon’s mandate,
Certainly, Solomon was a great individual; he built these great magics with black magical alphabets. And he also left his will in those valuables.
The knowledge from the Lemegeton Eye gave him the information about the second great-magic book; only that, it did not mention the instructions just like when he received Book One.
Merlin spent some time trying to figure it out, but after a while, he decided to put it aside for now. Because Solomon’s secrets and his possessions were a mystery he could not solve right now.
Releasing the spear from his hand, Merlin tried to pick it up.
When he had a thought of picking up the weapon, the Longinus spear transformed into a red beam and dashed into Merlin’s right backhand. And there appeared again, a red alphabet.
Merlin closed his eyes trying to think of everything. His face started to relax; it was calm.
“I do not know how long I have been in here.” The boy muttered.
Opening his eyes, Merlin looked around the room again.
Before him, the entrance was destroyed; it looked old like it had been in this condition for a long time.
It had been so long that there was grass and mosses on the door.
“Maybe these damages are those kids’ doings,” Merlin said in an emotionless voice.
Since achieving the stem-building stage, Merlin’s personality had changed. His body exuded a cold, chilling atmosphere. His expression had become more prudent and imperturbable.
Finally, he started to move. Taking a deep breath, Merlin glanced at the wrecked door.
“First, I should go to Matin for information.”
Having decided, Merlin dashed out, releasing his stem-building-stage Xian essence, clearing the ways everywhere he went.
Merlin leapt past the obstacles and everything exploded into dust.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
Finally, his body appeared outside the open of the dungeon’s hole. His eyes felt the sunlight again.
