Relentlessly pursuing Cannibal through the skies, Bahamut's determination drove him to tear apart the enemy dragon. Meanwhile, Corpse Queen, in search of Bran and the unknown greenseers, had infiltrated the wildlings disguised. As she neared the Wall, she spotted Bran and began walking toward him. However, Bran was protected by a magical barrier, thanks to the sorcerers who had been informed by Bran about the impending threat.
To their surprise, Corpse Queen effortlessly shattered the magical barrier, revealing her formidable powers. Realizing the disadvantage, Bran, Hodor, and the wildlings attempted to retreat. Unfortunately, a wight managed to breach the castle and leaped toward Bran. Hodor, in a desperate attempt, tried to pull Bran away, but the wight bit into Bran's leg before being dispatched by a wildling wielding dragonglass.
With no other option, Bran seized control of Hodor's body and, carrying his injured form, ran alongside the wildling woman toward the underground passages. Their hope was to escape the relentless pursuit of Corpse Queen, who was making her way toward them.
As they hastened towards the door, the looming presence of pursuing wights intensified, urging them to quicken their pace. Bran maintained control over Hodor's body, but as they neared the door, he suddenly lost consciousness, leaving Hodor in charge once again. Hodor stumbled, causing Bran's limp form to fall. The wildling woman strained to pull Bran inside as the relentless wights closed in.
In the midst of this chaos, Bran found himself in a surreal encounter with Wylis, the stable boy. Locked in Bran's vision, Wylis collapsed with vacant eyes. The wildling woman, desperately trying to secure Bran's safety, shouted at Hodor to "hold the door" against the relentless wights. Hodor, despite the onslaught, braced himself against the broken door, steadfastly preventing the dead from entering and sacrificing himself to protect his friends.
In a haunting twist of fate, Bran witnessed the traumatic transformation of the young Wylis. As the convulsing boy merged the command "Hold the door" into a single, agonized word, the origins of Hodor's name were etched in time: "Hodor," the only word he would ever speak again and that would be his last words.
Finally, Bran reached the crypt, a sanctuary where the women, including his sisters and mother, sought refuge. Among them was Rhaenys, who bore the pain of losing her dragon, Moon, with a stoic expression. As Bran was brought into the crypt by the wildling woman, his arrival captured the attention of everyone, drawing Sansa and Arya to rush to his side and assist the wildling woman in carrying him.
Sensing the imminent danger of approaching wights, Bran's worried gaze met Rhaenys's, who, aside from being a powerful sorcerer, understood his concerns. In response, Rhaenys began conjuring flames in her arms, a spectacle that astonished everyone in the crypt. Her entire body danced with flames, and soon, the relentless wights emerged in the corridor, visible to all, instilling fear in their hearts. Unfazed, Rhaenys raised her arm, conjuring a massive flame that turned the relentless wights to ashes, securing the safety of everyone. A collective sigh of relief echoed through the crypt.
However, the tranquility was short-lived, as the echoing footsteps of another approaching threat reached their ears, prompting Rhaenys to turn her gaze toward the oncoming enemy.
Bahamut stealthily closed in on Cannibal, who altered his course to evade Bahamut's pursuit. In response, Bahamut maneuvered through dark clouds, concealing his presence from Cannibal. Unable to sense Bahamut, Cannibal slowed his flight, maintaining vigilance. Yet, Bahamut swiftly closed the gap, descending from above for a fierce clash of claws.
A frenzied exchange ensued, with Bahamut ruthlessly tearing into Cannibal. The latter attempted to counter with his fiery breath, but Bahamut proved impervious to the flames. Relentlessly, Bahamut continued to dismantle Cannibal's wings, rendering him defenseless. In a desperate move, Cannibal tried to retaliate with his claws, only to have Bahamut's talons pierce through his chest, reaching for Cannibal's heart. As Cannibal succumbed to his inevitable demise, Bahamut fixed his gaze, unwavering, observing the last moments of his adversary's life.
