That trip was an extraordinary experience for everyone, so each disciple was visibly excited. Finally, Heril told the seniors about her decision to save the dying man they found.

One of the Elders examined him and shook his head: "There's barely any soul power in him, not even a core with laws. His cultivation seems to have been destroyed, and he can't be saved. He'll be like a vegetable for the rest of his life."

The group accepted this as a fact. The Elder had considerable cultivation but saw no chance of recovery in the man's condition. Some still tried to convince Heril to give up the idea, but she remained stubborn.
