บท 49: The Strange Orb

Neither the Mage nor the young girl could escape out of these pulsating black tendrils. To make matters all the more worse, these black tendrils were slowly dragging these two into two fiery pits of hell! 

"Shit!" Lacey loudly cursed, the foul language she used didn't really seem to fit the natural grace she always exuded. 

Her eyes rapidly tossed between the young girl and the genius Mage. There would only be time to save one of them. The other would be brutally burned alive, experiencing one of the worst deaths possible. 

Lacey believed this was all real. In the heat of the moment, her heart was confused about just who to save. No matter who she picked, she knew she would feel a heavy feeling of regret for failing to save the other. 

There was no clear or right option Lacey could see.
