บท 9: Third Floor (I)
~~Timeskip~~ (One and a half year later)
"I am Kanpeki and I welcome all of you to the 3rd floor of the Training Facility. This is where all of you are going to start learning Ninjutsu" The man declared in a hand tone. "Now, I will be calling all of your names one by one and you will be performing the Body Replacement Jutsu, the Transformation Jutsu, and finally the Clone Technique" The man explained in an orderly fashion before he raised his hand.
Some of the kids looked around nervously while some of the kids, especially the ones who joined us later on the 1st floor, looked quite smug. The tanned-skinned woman standing behind him handed a nondescript folder to him. The man opened a folder and scanned the crowd before his gaze focused on me. "Raijin" He called me out and without wasting any time, I stepped forward from the crowd.
Some of the kids scowled at my sight, but I decided to ignore them… "According to Suji, you were the best in Taijutsu and Shurikenjutsu, so let's see what you can do" Kanpeki voiced calmly. To be honest, I wasn't trying to show off or anything, but somehow it turned out that I was really good when it came to Taijutsu and Shurikenjutsu and while Suji might have been all muscles, he had sharp eyes.
Tiger→Boar→Ox→Dog→Snake
"Kawarimi no Jutsu!" I exclaimed after I finished weaving through the hand signs and a soft pop rang throughout the room. When the smoke finally cleared, in my place there was a punching bag, which was lying by the wall, and I was standing where the punching bag used to be. Kanpaki nodded his head in satisfaction before he kicked the punching bag away to clear the space.
After that, I simply returned to my initial spot so that I could continue with my demonstration…
Dog→Boar→Ram
"Henge no Jutsu" I voiced as soon as I finished weaving through the hand signs and a soft pop rang throughout the room. When the smoke finally cleared, in my place another Kanpeki was standing.
"Satisfactory" Kanpeki nodded his head before he gestured me to move on. So, I dropped the Transformation Technique.
Ram→Snake→Tiger
"Bunshin no Jutsu" I voiced as soon as I finished weaving through the hand signs, and I was covered in white smoke and when the smoke finally cleared, two more versions of me were standing on both of my sides. Kanpeki inspected my clones before nodding his head.
"Your Clone Technique is not perfect, but it will do" Kanpeki commented before noting down something in the folder. "Go and stand there" He ordered while pointing toward the side. I went to stand at the side and after that, he started to call the kids one by one. All of the kids who joined us on the 1st floor were able to perform all three Jutsus without any issues, but a couple of kids who came with us failed to do so.
Kanpeki told the two of them to stand on the opposite side of the room while he decided to address the rest of us… I wonder what is going to happen to the two of them…
Instead of saying anything, Kanpeki snapped his fingers and a Shinobi appeared beside him, surprising all of us. The man was holding a box in his hands. "Chakra usually comes in the form of five basic elements- Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Lightning. There are exceptions, obviously-" Kanpenki paused and glanced toward a boy named Gozu. His clan was famous for the Storm Release.
"While Storm Release is basically a combination of Water and Lightning elements, Storm Release is a nature transformation Kekkei Genkai, so even if a Shinobi has both Water and Lightning Chakras, it is impossible for him to use Storm Release… I am not going to go into any more details, but if you want to learn more about Kekkei Genkai, then you are free to visit the library" Kenpaki deadpanned before grabbing a piece of paper from the box.
"This is a Chakra Paper, we can use this to learn our Chakra Natures. Now, I am sure that some of you already know your Chakra Nature, but just for the record I want all of you to use the Paper" Kanpeki explained before he gave the man standing beside him a subtle nod. The man stepped forward and we started to take a paper from the box one by one.
"To use a Chakra Paper, you simply need to channel your Chakra into it…
In the case of Lightning, the Paper will wrinkle.
In the case of Water, the Paper will become damp.
In the case of Wind, the Paper will split in half.
In the case of Earth, the Paper will turn into dirt and crumble away.
In the case of Fire, the Paper will catch fire and turn into ash.
Now, some of you might have two Chakra Natures, but that doesn't mean that you have a Kekkei Genkai. Now, once again, I am going to call your names one by one. You are going to step forward and channel your Chakra into the Paper. Raijin, let's start with you again" Kanpeki finished and his gaze became focused on me and I internally grimaced as once again, I was the center of attention.
Sighing internally, I stepped forward… Naruto was 16 when he started to learn his Chakra Nature, whereas I am only 7. It was a good thing that Kumo handled things differently than Konoha… It would simply give me more time to hone my Nature Transformation skills. So, I held out my Chakra Paper before I channeled my Chakra into the Paper and the paper wrinkled up in the blink of an eye.
If my gaze wasn't focused on the Chakra Paper then I would have missed how fast it reacted… "Raijin, Lightning Chakra…" Kanpeki muttered blandly as he once again, noted down something in the folder. "We have D Rank Jutsu Scrolls in the library, all of you are free to grab any of them" Kanpeki added before calling the next name. It was Gozu and as expected, his Chakra Paper wrinkled and became damp at the same time…
