"Why are you asking?"
Gabriel asked cautiously. It's hard not to raise suspicions when Raphiel asks such questions.
"It's just a question. It's okay if you don't want to answer." Raphiel replied with a smile. "The decision is in your hands; I don't care."
"I want to go to Kamikawa." Gabriel lowered her head and murmured, "Besides, I'm not interested in the fireworks show... but I agreed to go with him, so I'm a bit worried about the fireworks show."
"Is this what you like?" Raphiel sighed, "You clearly aren't interested in the fireworks show, but because the person you like wants to go, you want to go there."
"No." Gabriel denied without hesitation, "I just agreed to go with him and don't want to break the contract. It's not at all what you said."
After thinking for a moment, Raphiel casually said, "Isn't it almost the same?"
"It's clearly different. Don't try to confuse the two. I'm not stupid."
Although she wasn't as clever as Raphiel in many things, it wasn't easy to fool her in this matter.
Raphiel really thought she was as gullible as Satania.
"But, since we're returning late, will you break the contract?" Raphiel leaned in and glanced at her wrist without leaving any trace.
"What can you do?" Gabriel nodded and looked at Raphiel hopefully.
She asked a lot about the fireworks show, so there must be something she can do, right?
She remembered Raphiel's family seemed to be quite influential in heaven.
"It depends on your attitude. If you say something nice to me, I might be able to provide a solution." Raphiel said without haste. "By the way, if the return time is already set, don't think about changing it; it's very troublesome."
"You mean you have nothing to do with it now?" Gabriel immediately understood her thoughts.
"Not my concern." Raphiel's tone was somewhat gentle. "We have to see the situation. I'm not sure if this will work."
"Then forget it." Gabriel quickly chose to give up.
She didn't want to waste time on Raphiel with uncertain methods.
Moreover, considering Raphiel's character, this method might just be to tease her, to see her reaction or something.
Just like dealing with Satania.
"You're not deceived..." Raphiel said sadly. "I thought you would trust me. It seems like love reduces someone's IQ in a special case?"
"You really lied to me!" Gabriel couldn't help but complain.
She knew that Raphiel had no good intentions and wasn't fooled; otherwise, she might be fooled.
"Not necessarily."
Raphiel deliberately left her without saying a word, picked up a piece of barbecue with chopsticks and put it on Gabriel's plate.
"Okay, let's eat more. It's still a long time before summer vacation. We'll discuss the details later. If we're lucky, the fireworks show will be held on the night of the 31st."
"Hopefully."
In this case, Gabriel couldn't say anything; she could only pray for better luck.
....
Monday afternoon.
"Kamikawa-kun, have you ever heard of the Legend of the Game Center?"
Not long after finishing her bento, Chika ran happily and asked Ren with a smile.
"No."
Ren shook his head.
He had only been to the Game Center once; how could he have heard of that legend?
"Could it be a horror legend from the Game Center?" Vigne asked nervously.
She was very afraid of such things; if Chika told stories like this, then she had no choice but to close her ears and stop listening.
"Horror stories like that usually don't happen in places like schools and hospitals." Gabriel, who was playing a mobile game, raised her head and said casually. "Legends like that also spread in the Game Center. Wouldn't it be scary to affect business?"
"It's not a horror legend, don't worry." Chika waved her hand and explained to both of them, "He's a very strong person."
"How strong?" Vigne asked relieved that it wasn't a horror story and took the initiative to ask.
"Amazing! It's said to take a hundred game coin boxes to catch a doll." Chika said loudly, "And the doll caught is very easy to catch, basically only costing ten coins."
"A hundred boxes? Real or fake?" Vigne was surprised.
Although she had never played a claw machine, she knew that it wasn't easy just by hearing the scary number of a hundred boxes.
"Too bad." Gabriel complained, "It only takes a hundred boxes to get such a simple doll."
"Yes." Ren agreed.
He needed 55 boxes to catch it, but in reality, someone needed a hundred boxes to catch it.
"Of course, there are staff watching when that person catches the doll." Chika said seriously, "I can say I'm very impressed."
"Did you witness it?"
Seeing her so straightforward, Vigne became more curious.
"No, I heard what others said, but the news is true." Chika replied seriously.
"Could it be just a rumor?" Gabriel was a little hesitant. "A hundred boxes are too fake, fifty... no, twenty boxes are somewhat possible."
"Maybe." Ren agreed with this.
A hundred boxes were indeed too fake, and fifty boxes were almost the same; he only spent 55 boxes to catch it.
"No, I'm telling the truth." Chika retorted. "Forget it, I won't tell you anymore; I'll tell others."
After leaving such words, Chika left, left the classroom, and ran somewhere.
"Could there really be someone so foolish in this world? It takes a hundred boxes to catch a doll."
Talking about this, Gabriel felt a bit ridiculous.
"Impossible. It's said to be a legend." Vigne said.
"That might be true."
Ren needed 55 boxes to catch it, and he couldn't rule out the possibility that a hundred boxes were needed to catch it.
...
In the evening, Nakano's house.
"Did you hear? There's someone at the Game Center who spent 20 game coin boxes to catch a doll."
During the break, Ichika happily shared interesting news she heard at school with them.
Ren commented: "Very weak."
