บท 6: Chapter 6

***Brax***

Brax waits on the landing platform, his team ready. As soon as the pilot touches down, the platform will descend, and his team will secure and control this last piece of land in the beltway, setting up the technology to keep Purix contained.

The technology containment team will wait for his team to secure the land before setting up the AI containment pods around the borders. Brax’s team needs to eliminate the Purix soldiers on this rock so the tech team can do their job.

“Touchdown in thirty minutes, general. Once we’re in view, I will circle to put you down on the high ground, above the Purix soldiers. I’ll get you a headcount before touch down.” The pilot updates Brax as he sees the landmass approaching quickly.

“Affirmative. Upload terrain parameters if available to my team. Out.” Brax controlled his breathing, organized his thoughts, and mentally reviewed the mission data. His adrenaline heightens his haze response. He can feel his body responding to the adrenaline, his senses sharpening.

The Arcturian haze is a double-edged sword. While it increases a soldier’s battle instincts and physical abilities, it decreases the warrior’s control and dives into the primitive being that thrives on animal instincts.

“General Brax, Status 1 transport initiated in rear transport. It is a priority ICUS Intelligence transport.” The pilot informs Brax of a soldier being transported into Pod 1 at the back of the ship.

“Any other information? Who the fuck is ICUS sending to come on my ship? Just before landing?” Brax clenches his jaw as he questions Ward, the pilot, a long-time warrior, a friend. Earth slang had become embedded in their daily language as the Arcturians interacted with the video game. Brax likes some of their words.

“The only information given is that the solder is PW001, sniper. It looks like a live one, not a cyborg.” Ward reads off the information from the transport codes.

Brax heads back to the transport pod. Brax had seen the PW001 cyborg sitting with his unit. PW001, as a cyborg, is his best sniper, a key component of his team. Intelligence Command has always controlled cyborgs' actions through central commands housed on a highly secret, secure battleship. As the cyborgs have been an essential component of their successes over the recent years, the Arcturians have welcomed the cyborg warriors within their units. Brax wonders if PW001 is sitting on the deployment ramp with the fighting unit he commands. Who the hell is the PW001 transporting onto Pod 1?

“What the hell is going on?” Brax mutters as he heads back; he dislikes unscheduled changes or surprises. He hopes the soldier has more information, but the sniper only follows orders. He needs to calm himself. The soldier is only following orders—no need to take out his frustration on the soldier.

The pod glows red, orange, yellow, and green, indicating the soldier has been transported. The door rotated open, and Brax was shocked to see one of the most diminutive soldiers he had seen. He sees a small frame covered with an AI defensive cloak. The soldier is fully dressed from head to toe, and while Brax can not see any features, he can see this soldier is one of the smallest species he has run across. Damn, no wonder these tiny beings are kept on a secret battleship fighting via remote control through the cyborgs.

This tiny being was his best sniper? “Damn, no way.” Brax thought to himself.

The figure was dressed in full armor, including a helmet and visor, with a specialized sniper rifle. A cloak surrounded the soldier, undulating with rippling colors, indicating the material was embedded with technology.

Brax growled out his frustration, looking at the soldier crumpled at his feet. A simple ship-to-ship transport shouldn’t have caused the soldier to become unconscious.

“Shit.” Brax wondered aloud, “What the hell is Intelligence Command thinking, transporting a soldier just before a mission?”

Interspace transporting could be disorienting and, for some, very physically taxing. It looked like this soldier experienced both, but it shouldn’t have been an issue for short-term transport. Maybe the Command Intelligence ship was farther out for this mission.

“Fuck! Medical! Landrix, get your ass back to Pod 1.” Brax commanded over the ship's comms as he picked up the soldier, slinging him over his shoulder, carefully propping the sniper rifle in a nearby corner.

As Brax carries the body over his shoulder, an over-whelming electric sensation shudders his system from head to toe. Brax realizes that he has his hand clutched securely over the ass of his sniper and jerks his hand away. He had wanted to squeeze and stroke that firm, rounded ass.

What the fuck was wrong with him? His haze had to be screwing with him.

Brax shifted uncomfortably as all of him reacted to the feel of this body over his shoulder. His dick pressed hard against the fabric of his armor, straining to get free. What. The. Hell.

He had never had such a quick attraction response to anyone. His haze was much worse than he thought. He was about to start a mission. He needed to be in control, focused, and on point.

Brax and the other warriors met their physical needs through holo-AI interactions and sought their pleasure with other species. Arcturians had developed reputations amongst the other worlds for pleasuring females, but Brax could not recall being this hard. It was a physical necessity. Sometimes, different species from other planets were available when they docked at one of the space consortiums. Still, throughout their travels, they had not found a species with compatible biology for an Arcturian melding. This was why Earth was such a unique and rare find. Brax had never reacted physically like this before, ever in all his years, in all his travels. It had always been meeting a physical need, a biological function.

Even with his reaction, Brax gently lowered the soldier onto a table, looking over as Landrix walked into the room.
