บท 4: Chapter 4: 1st spell
The first spell Nox chose to master was shield as it can't harm him and it will increase his command over spells.
on first try Nox decided to cast shield to increase his command over spellcasting.
as shield is harmless Nox could afford to make some mistakes and get used to spell casting.
Nox imagined himself enveloped by a blue shiled and started vhanting, "as minister of mana I command you to protect me Shield"
In an instant Nox was enveloped by transperant blue coloured energy spehere.
Nox was surprised as he was expecting a few failures before he could actually cast a spell. turns out his mana control training prepared him for the actual spellcasting
He started to move to see if the shield would move with him and indeed it did then he ran over to bump in to a wall to see if it could block physical objects
then he noticed that if the shield takes damadge then he must provide more mana to maintain its function.
after a while of testing. Nox started to see if he could cast the other spells as well.
then he pricked his finger and chanted," as minister of mana i command thee to heal me minor cure" and it worked as green light energy enveloped him to heal him
now for the fun part he saved for the last he placed a water bottle on the other end of the room and started casting elemental dart," as minister of magic i command thee to pierce my target fire dart"
then a small finger sized dart made of fire was fired but it did not hit the intended target i.e. water bottle.
now Nox had a smile on his face as he continued to cast his spells and become more proficient in it whenever he ran out of mana he would rest and the continue after recovery
a few hours latter he felt that it was nkt efficent to train like this and he needed something more. So, he called Rina and said that he has learned the spells and what should he do next?
Rina showed a mischievous smile and led him to Ryan (the tower master). Ryan asked if Nox was sure that he has learned the spells.
Nox felt quite satisfied with Ryan's reaction thinking of himself as some sort of genius spellcaster and said, " yeah, I'm completely confident in my abilities!"
Ryan smiled and said, " then go and survive in the dark forest for 30 days" then Ryan teleported Arron who was caught unprepared to a firest without any preprations.
youngsters they don't even realise that invoking spells and mastering them are two different things. Let him learn the hard way.
