Harrison's POV
After the physician swore to the Moon Goddess that Kayla would be safe, the first thing I did was dial Peter's number.
"Elizabeth is in your hands, isn't she?"
Though phrased as a question, my tone left no room for doubt.
Peter evidently sensed the icy anger in my voice. He slowed his speech, attempting to appeal to my reason and composure.
"Yes, Harrison. I've confined her to a secret location, but I'm sorry, I can't hand her over to you right now. However, you can rest assured that once I get the information I need, I won't let her off easily!"
"In fact, I'm not reassured, Peter. I must see her, and it has to be now!"
This was the first time I had so ruthlessly refused Peter.
Clearly shocked by my resolute attitude, Peter remained silent for a moment.
"Will this become a problem between us, Peter?"
"Of course not, Harrison."
Faced with my assertive stance, Peter had no choice but to make his concessions.
