บท 115: 115 Reunion with Nathan Barnes

Kayla's POV

Nathan immediately released me, his face showing surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"Isn't that the question I should be asking?" I brushed the dust off my clothes, a hint of annoyance in my tone. "You nearly scared me to death!"

"Sorry, Kayla." Nathan gave me an apologetic smile. "I thought it was... Anyway, Kayla, you haven't answered my question. Didn't you tell me before that you were planning to move with Daisy? Where are you living now?"

"Well, at a friend's place." I still remembered the tension between Nathan and Harrison, so I evaded the question with a vague response.

"What about you, Nathan? You disappeared for so long. What happened?"

"It's a long story."

In the darkness, I heard Nathan sigh deeply. Just when I thought he might change the subject, I heard his voice again, this time filled with determination and openness.

"You already know, don't you?"

I immediately realized what Nathan was referring to, but I remained silent and didn't answer.
