บท 8: 8] Time skip?

(Zero POV, Guardia Castle)

Two years have passed since the passing of my men, and to the outside I've become known as the 'Youngest Corps Commander.' On the inside, I'm seen as 'Demon Commander.'

People under my authority are a part of the 'Zero Corps', and I have four divisions. By my request to the king which he accepted, only my Third Division is public. It didn't take too long to convince him, as he's seen what I can do to the people I train.

The First Division of Zero Corps is Intelligence. Strategy, information gathering, command, training new recruits, etcetera.

The Second Division is Stealth. Infiltration, assassination, shadowing people, etcetera.

The Third Division is Combat. Fighting, bodyguarding, stuff like that. My own bodyguards come from this division, being strong people that I can trust.

The Fourth Division is Research. Not many people are in this one, but the few that are are incredibly smart. I wanted Lucca to join, but decided that it would be better to wait until after the game was finished.

A few more years pass, and it's not wrong to say that I control the whole kingdom's fighting force.

I basically made the 13 Court Guard Squads from bleach, and every person who joins goes into one of them. I even made the whole system like it is in bleach, and I'm Captain of Squad 1.

I made a school for the new recruits, because I don't want to have too many super soldiers. I realized this early on, so I only have around 25 people who I can deem as 'super soldiers.'

Obviously the original 14 are either captains or lieutenants, while the other 11 are bodyguards for me and the king.

What's funny is, I hold more control than the king. Even politically, but I still tell him that his status as king is above mine.

The most funny thing is, Marle didn't even realize it was me until last year. I... Don't know how she didn't notice that 'Head-Captain Zero' and I had the same name and age.

On my twelfth birthday, I was gifted with a surprise from the Captain of Squad 12.

Zero- "What is it, Captain Kryo?" Kryo holds a black cloth to me, and I examine it.

Kryo- "Head-Captain, I've completed it. Slash resistant, pierce resistant, burn resistant, flexible, breathable, and it comes in black and white." A smile appears on my face.

Zero- "Good, now we can make our uniforms out of this. Is the white version able to be dyed?"

Kryo- "Only in the process of it being made, as it is stain resistant once completed."

Zero- "Wonderful. I have designs in mind for our uniforms, please wait a moment." I open a drawer and pull out a notebook, showing him a sketch of shinigami/captain clothes.

Kryo takes this and leaves, knowing that it's my birthday. Every year on my birthday, I go back to see my family. Crono is growing in strength fairly well, but at the pace of a normal human.

Our birthday celebration causes even Lucca to come out of her hole. Considering that this is the only time that we can see each other, it makes sense.

Crono asks how being in the Gotei 13 is like, not knowing that I'm the Head-Captain.

Zero- "It's not bad, You should defiantly join when you're 18."

Crono- "Why not now? We're the same age, so why can't I join?" I shake my head.

Zero- "I just don't think it will be good for your growth, so just live here as a normal kid. I promise that you won't lose out, okay?" He weakly nods, and I lightly punch his shoulder.

"How about I write you a manual on things that we learn, will that cheer you up?" He nods, his eyes shining in excitement.

I am now 15, and the Gotei 13 has hundreds of members. Crono is still restless, but at least he's stopped trying to join.

All members of the Gotei 13 have their shihakusho and captains have their coats. When you first join, you are asked what color of inner dress you want. Mine is a darker red, matching my brighter red eyes.

By this point, almost everyone knows who I am.

Don't think that since I'm the boss, that I'm lazy. No. I am still training constantly, wearing specially made weights that don't restrict my movements.

Generally all the paperwork is left to my subordinates, only asking me for important things. One of those things is the monitoring of the monsters, I get a weekly report.

Another important thing I get reports about are the general statistics of the population. Monitoring Porre is also something that I've sent people to do, but that won't really have any fruit for the next seven years. I'm just making sure that they aren't planning anything now.

This year I decided to head to Medina, the monster's continent. They shouldn't know much about the Gotei 13, but in case they did I didn't wear my captain's cloak.

I bring with me all the weapons that I used when I was younger. That being the Dual Katanas, Daggers, and Throwing Knives. I also bring two pistols, just in case.

Taking the ferry with my personal bodyguards, I arrive at the edge of Medina. We walk quite a ways before we see a house on a hill, approaching it carefully, I knock on the door.

Old Man- "Hello? Who are you?" I bow slightly as I introduce myself.

Zero- "I'm Zero, are you Melchior?" He heartily laughs.

Melchior- "Why yes! I am, have you come with a request?" I nod, making a hand motion telling the others to wait for me.

Zero- "I am in need of a few things. My current weapons are fine, but I don't think they can handle a real threat." He looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

Melchior- "A real threat? Like what?" I shrug.

Zero- "Like a giant world ending monster hedgehog, or something like that." His eyes widen, but then close after a moment of contemplation.

Melchior- "What do you plan on using these weapons for?"

Zero- "Protecting my family, and the world when the need arises." He laughs lightly.

Melchior- "Do you know of Lavos?" I feign ignorance, people of this time shouldn't know about Lavos.

Zero- "Who? Is that a threat I should worry about?" He shakes his head.

Melchior- "No it isn't something that you can deal with, but I can sense your resolve. Tell me, what weapons do you desire?" I tell him about every weapon I'm proficient with.

"How old did you say you were?" He says with a sweat running down his forehead.

Zero- "I'm 15, and I've been training non-stop for ten years."

Melchior- "I see, come back in about 6 months. I should have everything ready by then, all you would have to do is pay when they're done. I'll tell you the price after everything is finished." I nod, getting ready to leave.
