Joseph Thompson's car encountered a small traffic jam on the way back to the hospital, so he drove slowly. Jaylene Ziel saw that they were stuck and decided to close her eyes and continue sleeping.

The car moved like a snail and finally stopped at a breakfast shop on a street near the hospital, where a pot of lean meat porridge was steaming.

Joseph turned around and saw that the woman in the back seat still had her eyes closed, not knowing if she was asleep or not.

He didn't wake her up immediately, but instead, he looked at her face with the help of the dim light outside the window.

Her slightly pale face bore traces of fatigue, with faint dark circles under her eyes. Her long eyelashes drooped like a feather fan.

She held her bag tightly to her chest, as if it were an important possession, a gesture said to be of those who lack a sense of security.
