"Michael..." Isabelle grabbed his hand, desperation in her voice. "I won't go. I want to stay and care for Ms. Lewis. She used to like me so much. It must be because of the lies some people told her about me..."

"Leave, Isabelle."

Isabelle stood frozen, seemingly unable to comprehend his words.

"I'm tired."

Feeling like a bucket of cold water had been poured over her, Isabelle stared at the exhausted man before her.

She hadn't expected Michael Gallagher to truly drive her away.

Isabelle's face turned pale, and she felt unsteady on her feet. After a moment, she finally managed to say, "Then I'll wait for you outside."

With a glare at Molly Walker, she rushed out of the room.

Now, only Molly and Michael Gallagher remained in the long corridor.

Molly stared at the emergency room door, feeling suffocated.
