Miguel saw that Edith had already opened her eyes at this moment.

She instantly looked at him with a twinkle in her eyes.

Her voice was full of excitement as she stated, "This way of improving our strength is very powerful."

She clenched her fist and punched the air. "I've broken to Level 5, even though I just got promoted to Level 4 after the battle earlier."

One must note that the higher the level was, the harder it was to level up, as the experience point needed would scale exponentially for each level.

Defeating countless demonized beasts that doubled their experience gain only allowed Edith and Aaliyah to barely reach Level 4 previously.

However, two instances of Dual Cultivation actually allowed her to get promoted directly to Level 5, and this was based on the notion that Miguel was a whole realm weaker than her when they dual cultivated earlier.
