Ellen was caught off guard. Her shoe was tripped by the emergency exit door. She staggered back and fell on the cement floor.

"Jamie, what are you doing here?"

Fiona smelled a faint fragrance of perfume, like the smell of shower gel. An imperceptible viciousness flashed through her eyes.

"I feel a little dizzy. So, I came over to check."

She leaned against Jamie. Jamie glanced at her and said, "Are you tired?"

As he spoke, he carried her in his arms.

"Hey, there are people coming and going here."
