Tyrion put on his clown mask and walked into the purchasing station, declaring, "I want to sell Atomic Serums." Tyrion was at the counter, trying to address the male clerk, Nicole, who had dozed off momentarily.

This is due to the fact that the badge served as their proof of identity and skills, which would then allow them to sell their serums at a higher price. When facing these important people, Nicole would obviously treat them with respect.
