Rhodes suddenly felt a bit like a charging treasure, or a moving blood spring.
Rhodes put aside the distracting thoughts in his heart, took a deep breath, and then raised his hands, releasing the sun and rain.
From Rhodes' raised hands, more and more rain of light emerged.
When the warm sunlight rained up to a height of more than a hundred meters above Asgard, it turned into finer points of light and descended from the sky.
It fell eloquently on the soldiers of these Hela Legion.
This time is different from the rain of light released in Hela's room; this time, the scale is even bigger, resembling daytime fireworks. If it were nighttime, the effect would be even more astonishing.
Hela couldn't help but stare in amazement at the side.
Rhodes did his utmost to direct the sun's rain, attempting to cover every soldier of the Hela Legion with its healing touch.
The sunlight rain released by Rhodes left every Hela Legion soldier in awe.
"Praise Asgard! What is this? Could it be Lord Rhodes' miracle?"
Even the Asgardian warriors, being of the Protoss, were astonished by Rhodes' sunlight and rain. Some even felt that Rhodes' miracle surpassed that of God King Odin. Of course, they dared not voice such thoughts.
The sun and rain kept falling, and soon the Hela Legion soldiers began to feel something extraordinary.
A warm sensation enveloped their bodies, as if they had stepped out of a frosty world and the gentle sun was now shining upon them. The warmth melted the frost on their armor and reached deep into their hearts.
One Asgardian warrior, who had been blinded by a Frost Giant's arrow, suddenly felt a glimmer of light in his right eye.
Carefully, he removed the protective goggles covering his eyes and slowly opened them.
To his astonishment, his once-blind eye could now see clearly.
The Asgardian warrior let out a joyous shout, "My eyes, I can see!"
His fellow warriors, aware of his prior blindness, couldn't believe their eyes. They knew that even the recuperation chamber couldn't restore his vision.
To witness a Protoss warrior regaining their sight under the influence of Sunlight Rain was nothing short of miraculous.
"My legs, they're restored!"
"My arm too, it's back!"
Other Asgardian warriors who had lost limbs due to the brutal war were equally ecstatic.
Many of them had come to terms with their disabilities, believing they would never regain what they had lost. Now, their missing limbs had miraculously returned, filling them with newfound happiness and appreciation for what they had.
Some of these warriors couldn't contain their emotions and wept openly.
Under Rhodes' continuous Sunlight Rain, even those Asgardian soldiers who were lying on the ground, severely wounded and close to death, began to stir. They gazed at Rhodes on the high platform with blank expressions, but soon realized that it was Rhodes who had saved their lives.
"Lord Rhodes, Lord Rhodes!"
"Long live, long live, long live, long live!"
The exhilarated Asgardian warriors cheered, expressing their inner excitement with these chants.
The once demoralized Asgardian warriors now brimmed with enthusiasm and renewed determination. With Rhodes, who seemed almost angelic, by their side, they no longer feared anything, not even death.
At this point, Rhodes began to feel drained. Healing tens of thousands of people in such a vast area was taking a toll on his energy. However, the sun in the sky continued to replenish him, alleviating his exhaustion.
Rhodes took a deep breath. It seemed that he was approaching his limit when it came to treating over 10,000 Asgardian fighters simultaneously. Still, as his strength improved, he believed he could heal even larger groups, perhaps hundreds of thousands or even millions. The thought of resurrecting an entire battered army within minutes, even against the combined forces of Frost Giants and Flame Giants, thrilled him.
Rhodes continued the Sunlight Rain until the very last Asgardian warrior stood up, shouting, "Long live Rhodes!" He finally ceased the radiant downpour.
Rhodes' steps felt unsteady as he descended from the platform, and Hela, who had been watching closely, quickly rushed to support him with a concerned look.
"Rhode, are you alright?"
"I'm fine, everyone has recovered. That's what matters."
Hela nodded in agreement, though even her regal countenance couldn't conceal her excitement.
"What was that? It was so beautiful, like divine rain."
"You could also think of it as daylight fireworks."
"Fireworks? What are those?"
Hela asked with curiosity.
It was then that Rhodes realized that the concept of fireworks wasn't present in this era.
"They're lights that burst into the sky when ignited, creating colorful light displays. People find them incredibly beautiful."
"Really? It sounds like something truly enchanting."
"Do you like them? If you'd like to see them, I can arrange it."
Hela was momentarily taken aback, and Rhodes couldn't help but feel that his words might have been a bit flirtatious. Hela seemed intrigued by the idea.
Hela blushed slightly, her noble bearing momentarily giving way to her womanly side.
"If you have the time..."
After Hela's response, she turned away from Rhodes, pretending to be busy tending to the excited Asgardian warriors.
Rhodes pondered the meaning behind Hela's words. Did she agree to see the fireworks? Or was she merely expressing interest? Rhodes couldn't help but wonder if he had unknowingly charmed the Asgardian Princess.
Hela managed to settle down the soldiers of her legion, but God King Odin had undoubtedly taken note of the commotion Rhodes had caused.
God King Odin, while impressed by Rhodes' extraordinary ability, issued a new order.
The news that Hela would lead her legion to continue facing the attacks of the Frost Giants and Fire Giants left Rhodes feeling disheartened. Couldn't someone else handle this task? He felt as if he had exploited Hela's powers to their limits.
Hela had already initiated preparations for her expedition, draping herself in her death cloak, her imposing figure concealed beneath its vast folds, exuding an air of nobility and glamour.
"Did God King Odin send you to fight again?" Rhodes inquired, facing Hela directly.
Hela nodded, and her typically expressionless face softened slightly in Rhodes' presence.
"Yes, you and your legion need time to recuperate. While their physical injuries have healed, their frayed nerves require time to mend."
Hela shook her head, clearly frustrated.
"But the situation on the front lines has grown dire."
Hela bit her purple lips, then continued, "When I return next time, perhaps you can set off fireworks for me."
Rhodes fell into a moment of contemplation before abruptly declaring, "I'm going to request an audience with God King Odin."
Hela was taken aback by Rhodes' statement, attempting to stop him.
"Don't, please don't."
However, Rhodes was swift and had already vanished from the princess's chambers.
Shortly afterward, Rhodes found himself in God King Odin's palace.
God King Odin smiled upon learning that Rhodes had come to see him. Recently, Rhodes had been overseeing the Temple of Valor, which had become a source of concern for God King Odin. Nevertheless, he was quite pleased with Rhodes' efforts.
"Rhodes, what brings you here today?"
"I've been managing the Temple of Valor as you instructed, and things are progressing well. I wish to make a request," Rhodes stated.
"Speak."
"I would like to lead the heroic warriors in joining Hela on the front lines."
God King Odin hesitated for a moment at Rhodes' request. The heroic warriors of the Temple of Valor were a significant asset Odin had prepared to confront the prophesied Ragnarok. He couldn't afford to risk them unnecessarily.
At that moment, Holder, the God of Darkness, who stood alongside God King Odin, interjected, "Great God King, please consider carefully. The heroic warriors of the Temple of Valor are one of Asgard's critical assets. Any losses could prove disastrous."
God King Odin nodded in agreement.
Rhodes continued, "Great God King, the battle on the front lines has reached a critical juncture. The Frost Giants and Fire Giants appear to be forming an unholy alliance, slowly depleting Asgard's strength. If this continues, the real crisis for Asgard may be imminent. I believe the Great God King is well aware of how dire the current situation is."
"Now, the Nine Realms, including Midgard, have been infiltrated by minions of the Frost Giants and Fire Giants. If the territories of these giants continue to expand unchecked, it may become exceedingly difficult for Asgard to restrain them. Is it not possible that the Frost Giants and Fire Giants have chosen this moment to attack Asgard, separate from the prophecy of Ragnarok?"
Rhodes deliberately invoked the concept of Ragnarok to sway God King Odin. While Odin was primarily concerned with Asgard's safety and less so with the prophecy of Ragnarok, the involvement of Frost Giants, Fire Giants, and even Loki in Ragnarok still held some truth.
Upon hearing this, God King Odin's expression darkened.
Rhodes pressed on, "Great God King, the heroic warriors have completed their training, but without practical combat experience, their true potential remains unknown. We cannot rely solely on training to determine their combat effectiveness. However, it's challenging to predict how they will perform in battle unless they gain real-world experience."
God King Odin recognized the validity of this point.
"The Fire Giant's recent activities have been unusual, and it's clear they are seeking to destabilize the situation. Rhodes, I grant your request. You may lead no more than 2,000 heroic warriors at a time to support Hela against the Fire Giants. But you must ensure their safety. Do not allow them to suffer excessive casualties."
Rhodes accepted the order with gratitude, eager for the opportunity. He quickly proceeded to the Temple of Valor to prepare for the deployment of his warriors.
Rhodes entrusted Bell with selecting the 2,000 most formidable warriors to join the battle, while over 1,000 would remain in the Temple of Valor to continue their training and mentor new recruits.
Upon learning of their upcoming deployment, Bell and the heroic warriors rejoiced with excitement.
"Yes, Lord Rhodes, Bell will begin the selection process immediately."
