It's been about 4 months since the invasion that left the entire world changed. Daud waited at a pier for his old friend to pick him up. The whalers of Dunwall have been reduced to a few survivors who escape the destruction of the Flooded District. After the cannon fire ended squads of guardians lead the way for ground forces. Afterwards the entire Flooded District was in ruins and many of the whalers were killed. The surviving members of the whalers are heading off to the other cities and islands to regroup. As for now the whaler chapter of Dunwall is no more.
The scars of the invasion can still be seen salavege ships are still bringing up the wreckage of sunken ships. The giant bodies of the summons and the giant sea beast have either been brought in to be butchered for their meat or oil or been tugged out to deep water where they're left to rot and sink into deep water. And the bodies of the invaders where all loaded onto ships and dump several miles away in the deep part of the sea.
Rebuilding of destroyed buildings are still on going as many of the building owners have decided to upgrade and completely remodeled the destroyed building to a more modern one. The Flooded District was left to fend for itself as it often was with the surviving people who lived there rebuilding on their own. Even if it would be smaller then it use to be, the slum of Dunwall would return to how it use to be.
The Isles entire economy is gearing up for a war one, factories are mass producing weapons and supplies, recruitment is high as many young people are signing up for the invasion of the Element Countries. With the best having all died in the invasion, with only one ship that spotted at the boarder of the barrier making it back, the Element Countries are now defenseless. But the crown is holding back the counter invasion till all the transport ships are fully supplied and the soldiers trained. The first wave would be leaving by the end of the month.
Daud spotted the run-down ship that somehow been kept afloat for all of these years. The Dreadful Wale captained by Billie Lurk and a small crew of misfits she has picked up here and there. The small skiff of the ship came into viewed being driven by Billie herself, driving the skiff to the pier.
"Billie it's been a long time," Daud said.
"I'm rather surprise that you're still alive," Billie said.
"I'm surprise myself," Daud said getting onto the skiff with his bags.
"So you're really going to do this mission?" Billie ask turning the skiff around back to the ship.
"Yes it's time to put an end to this. The entire invasion, everything that ever been started by his hands. We're going to kill the Outsider," Daud said.

Serkonos -
In the early days, Shindaerey North Quarry was nothing of note, until the discovery of thick veins of silver, with reports saying that even a slight pickaxe stroke would uncover silver worth thousands of coin. Mining claims on Shindaerey Peak were purchased very quickly, but larger companies, such as the Shindaerey Mining Company, still had vacancies. The Karnaca Gazette actively encouraged people to go there.
As time went on, many workers began to report hallucinations including the air splitting apart, headaches, memory loss and flashes of light. These hallucinations become larger, with some workers hearing entire conversations by people who were not there, and one worker screaming when her entire house disappeared. Progressively, more miners were reporting strange occurrences, such as tunnels suddenly appearing and entire sections of the mine disappearing for hours on end.
At the same time, the air quality in the mines reached a hazardous level. Many miners choose to leave Shindaerey North Quarry, and those that remained threatened to strike. Berenice Castiglia, a representative of the Shindaerey Mining Company, said that the accusations of poor air quality were unfounded, and that counseling was available to all miners affected by hallucinations.
Eventually, the entire mining complex began to disappear for days at a time, and its inhabitants lost sense of what was real and what was illusion. Eventually, everyone had fled and the mines were abandoned, and over time even those that had been there forgot all about it. By 1852, the Serkonan Cartographic Society was unaware of the existence of Shindaerey North Quarry.
The mountain itself is a weak spot, where the world and the Void have merged to become one. This has affected the mine to such a degree that both it and the surrounding North Quarry Town were entirely abandoned, their very existence eventually forgotten by all except the Cult of the Outsider. As the link between the world and the Void posed no problem from the Cult of the Outsider, they expanded their base of operations, joining their library with the North Quarry.
"Guardian squad 3 have reported in. All members of the Cult of the Outsider have been dealt with," a Overseer reported to the High Overseer.
"That only leaves the ones in the Void now," the High Overseer said.
"The Void is strong here," the High Oracle of the Oracular Order said.
The two different branches have joined forces in the most important mission in history of their orders. They have setup a base camp just outside the effected area of the mountain, backed up by soldiers and guardians. They have been sending in squads of guardians into the effected area of the mountain to root out the cult members before the human squads be sent in. Both leaders of the mission are in the command center with radios systems having been setup giving them a link to the effected area and the outside world.
Both orders have embraced the rapid advancements of technology that have been coming out of the Academy of Natural Philosophy as well as what comes out of the laboratory of princess Rachel. The guardians have given them a weapon that the magic uses can't counter on their own. There is also a special unit in both groups that have been testing the magic tech that princess Rachel had created. Machines that use magic to counter magic users. While princess Rachel doesn't use magic she has told them that she studies magic so that she knows how to counter magic being used on her. Creating devices that blocks anyone using magic to spy on them or magic being used on them.
Her idea of studying magic so that while they don't use it themselves, they can identify it when it's used on them. A new order of Overseer's and Oracle's were form, the Magic Hunters who have studied magic in the books and parchments they have recovered from raids. They are also equipped with the latest anti-magic tech available and weapons to combat any coven.
There are also rumors that somewhere in Coldridge prison is a witch who was betrayed by her coven and is the one who is helping princess Rachel in her research into magic. Both leaders don't like the idea of a witch working with them but if the rumors are true it's the reason why they're here right now. Here on these mountains they now have a way into the Void, they be able to find the source to much of the world's troubles. The Outsider himself.

On a ship heading for the Element Countries -
On the deck of the massive cargo ship, Breanna Ashworth the leader of the Brigmore Witches for years after the fall of Delilah Copperspoon. Stepped up onto the deck of the ship where the latest member of the coven waited for her. Now an old woman she's not as strong as she use to be in body but her mind is still as sharp as ever. She had spent much time and effort to keep the coven together even after a number of setbacks after the guardians were created.
On the deck of the ship, Kirin Jindosh who use to be the grand inventor to the Duke of Serkonos before he stepped down. Is adding some finishing touches to his latest work. After the guardians were invented and mass produced, the clockwork soldiers he invented years before, became nothing more then collection items for the nobles and the rich. Having been pushed out of the spotlight and in the shadow of princess Rachel inventions, Kirin became obsess in out doing her. Which has lead him in joining with the Brigmore Witches in exchange for their knowledge of magic. Which has bare fruit in devices that allow the coven to use magic in ways that they have never dreamed before.
"How is she?" Breanna ask. Kirin is screwing something tighter into the side of a young woman who is sitting on a chair.
"She's ready after I adjust her lenses a bit. It was a challenge to repair her sights, after how badly her face was damaged. And there all done," Kirin said as he steps away from the young woman.
"Yes, I can see clearly now," the woman said standing up.
Turning to face Breanna revealed the woman's face. She wore a metal mask that has been welded onto her head that mimics some of the movements. The jaw of the mask moves with the same movement of a normal jaw, that reveals a mouth filled with fake teeth made out of silver. Her eyes have been replaced with lenses that can extend outwards to zoom onto far away objects. Which she has been testing on the deck of the ship.
"Good it be ashamed that all the effort my coven and Kirin has done to keep you alive all of this time was for nothing," Breanna said.
"I had to replace much of your body. I'm very surprise how you managed to drag yourself to shore with just one arm intact," Kirin said.
"I won't rest till I have my revenge on the Isles," the woman said.
"Just remember that you owe us your life," a new voice said.
Stepping onto the deck is a woman shape robot who stands around 7 feet tall. Kirin had heard rumors that the current Spymaster of the crown body is mostly metal. Which had him researched in replacement parts for people who lost a body part like him with his fingers on one of his hands. And that research lead him into creating the body in front of him now. He was going to see if a head or brain attachment could be done with what he had. Till a machine he had made that allowed him to peer into the void itself, somehow managed to act like a door for what's already inside the void. And what secrets she revealed to him after she melded with the robot body she's currently using to host her spirit.
"Yes mistress," the woman said.
"As a ninja you know more about the Element Countries then any of us. And with you the only returning Leaf ninja, you'll be able to gather supporters in your village," the robot woman said.
"There are only the cripple, old and the very young who didn't join the invasion. And with chakra gone there's nothing the old ninjas be able to do to stop you and the Fire Lord without us to serve as his army won't be able to do anything either," the ninja said.
"Good. The Isles can't be taken as I would like as it is now. But with how broken the Element Countries are now. They're ready to be molded like clay. And my sister will learn that I'm still alive," the spirit of Delilah Copperspoon said. (1)

In Dunwall -
Rachel sat at her desk in her chambers reviewing reports and stamping papers. With all that has happen she's been busy helping her mother in getting everything setup for the counterattack. So much paperwork needed to be done and people she needed to talk to for things to happen. She would love to be in her laboratory working on a new machine. But looking down at her belly showing the signs of a growing child, the little one that man who gave his life to make a world without chakra possible left behind was just more important to keep herself for overworking herself. The future ruler of the Isles would grow up in a very different world then she knew.
