บท 115: Totally a waste

"He is…" Lady Clara subtly glanced in a certain direction, which Joanna caught, but she remained unfazed, as if oblivious to that.

"No." Lady Clara shook her head after taking a momentary silence. "Lady Joanna doesn't know about him. And there is no need to know about him because..." Lady Clara took a pause before continuing to say, "He is a married man now." Her voice, which was spoken in a whisper, was laced with sorrow.

"Oh my…" Joanna looked shocked, covering her mouth with her gloved hand. "I am sorry to hear that, Lady Clara. And I am sorry to make you talk about that." Joanna responded with a sympathetic tone in her voice, to which Lady Clara stared at her in bewilderment.
