ตอน 51: [51] Barbecue

"Why are we leaving this building? Wasn't it our destination?"

The group were leaving the two-story yellow building with 'Godens' written on it.

Rin explained, "It's not our final destination. It was just a pit stop. We need to go to a different place."

"It was like we had to do some stuffs here for what we are going next to happen!"

"They took a lot of time for such a simple task. We lost nearly half an hour waiting."

Rin agreed, "Yes, they were simply moving us from one table to another."

Mey assured Rin, "Don't worry, Rin-Sama, I'll make sure the authorities at 'Goldens' hear about their poor reception."

Rin nodded and said, "We'll deal with that later. Right now, let's focus on the main event of the day."

Izumi added, "Exactly. Let's get going."

With that, they returned to the car and continued on their adventure.

They were back in the car, ready to embark on the next part of their adventure. As Mey started the engine, they began their journey to the true destination, with excitement and curiosity in their hearts.

Aki, her excitement building up for the surprise prepared by Izumi and Rin, couldn't help but ask, "So how long is it going to take from here?"

With a reassuring smile, Rin replied, "Don't worry, it will only take around 10 minutes."

The anticipation in the car was palpable as they approached their next destination. The air was filled with a mix of curiosity and excitement, and Aki couldn't wait to find out what awaited her. The minutes ticked away as they inched closer to the surprise that Rin and Izumi had planned for her.

The transition from the bustling city and the busy neighborhood to the serene mountains filled with lush trees was quite striking. The car cruised along a winding highway, snaking through a picturesque pine forest.

"It's left from here," Rin said, guiding the way.

Mey chimed in, "Alright, guys, we're about to reach our destination."

Izumi couldn't hide his relief, "Finally."

Aki, now brimming with excitement, asked, "Really?"

With a short ride of two to three minutes on a muddy road after turning left from the highway, they arrived at their long-awaited destination. The anticipation had built up, and they were about to uncover the surprise Rin and Izumi had in store for Aki.

"We are here!" Rin announced with excitement as she stepped out of the car.

Izumi, feeling a bit worn out from all the traveling, muttered, "Finally. I became tired with all this moving around."

Rin, not one to let that pass, playfully retorted, "You're just lazy, Izumi."

Mey, ever the responsible one, chimed in, "Alright, Rin-Sama, I'm going to park the car in the parking lot. Don't go wandering to different places."

Rin assured her, "I know, Mey."

With that, Mey left to park the car. Meanwhile, the picturesque surroundings caught Izumi's attention. He commented, "This place looks beautiful, doesn't it?"

Rin agreed, "Yeah, it's like a painting."

Aki's eyes were sparkling with amazement as she took in the scene before her. The beauty of the place had made a strong impression on all of them.

The group had arrived at a truly enchanting spot as the evening sun began its descent behind the mountains. The golden hues of twilight painted the sky in a breathtaking symphony of colors, casting a warm and enchanting glow over the landscape.

Nestled in the heart of the mountains, the location was transformed by the soft, golden light. The serene lake took on a more mysterious and enchanting aspect, as its waters reflected the fading embers of the setting sun. The ripples on the water's surface shimmered in the twilight, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and wonder.

Surrounded by towering pine trees, the camping site became a sanctuary for those seeking to immerse themselves in the magic of an early evening in the wilderness. The scent of pine needles was intensified in the cooling air, and the gentle rustling of leaves provided a melodic backdrop to the scene.

They found themselves in a picturesque clearing with an array of amenities, perfectly suited for a campsite under the stars.

Wooden picnic tables were scattered throughout, with built-in grills ready for fireside cooking. Stone fire pits were strategically placed, inviting gatherings around a crackling campfire as the night settled in.

The camping grounds were thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary facilities, including clean restrooms, showers, and fresh water sources. Designated areas for setting up tents were nestled among the trees, and for those seeking a cozier camping experience, small rustic cabins awaited, softly illuminated by lanterns.

But the true jewel of this late evening scene was the lake. Boats of all shapes and sizes were gently moored along the lakeshore, their silhouettes becoming more pronounced in the gathering darkness. The water appeared to whisper secrets, inviting visitors to embark on an adventure in the moonlight.

In this enchanting setting, the gang was poised for an unforgettable camping trip under the evening stars. They looked forward to exploring the lake's mysteries, hiking through pine-clad trails, and savoring the beauty of nature while being surrounded by the comforts of a well-maintained camping area.

XOh! I'm back guys " Said Mey— looks like she parked the car "Shall we move forward"

The anticipation was palpable as they approached the ticket counter of the privately owned camping area.

Each of them presented their tickets and other documents they had received at "Goldens," and with a warm smile from the campsite staff, they were granted access to their outdoor haven.

Rin couldn't help but reminisce about their recent visit to Rairaikyo, and she remarked, "Never thought we would be going camping just a couple of months after we went to Rairaikyo."

Izumi chimed in, "Yeah! But can we even call this a camping trip? We are only staying here for a few hours."

Rin, ever the optimist, brushed off the concern. "That doesn't matter, we are at a campsite, which means we are camping!"

As they strolled along the campsite's entrance, they were greeted by a serene scene. Crane birds elegantly waded in the lake, appearing to engage in their own fishing expedition.

Aki, in awe of the graceful birds, pointed and said, "Look, there are cranes! Wow, looks like they are fishing."

Izumi, equally captivated, nodded in agreement. "Indeed, it's a beautiful sight."

Rin, ever eager for the next adventure, couldn't contain her excitement. "Alright, as we are finally here, shall we move on to the final event?"

"Yeah" "I'm born ready"

"Allirigt the first thing we will do is prepair the around us, how does a sitting are and camp fire sounds"

With that, the group was ready to embrace the remaining hours of their camping trip, making the most of their time in the enchanting setting.

The camping area was bathed in the gentle glow of early evening, providing the perfect ambiance for their outdoor experience.

The group had settled on a scenic spot by the lakeside to set up their temporary base, and the sense of adventure hung thick in the air."

Rin, wearing a mysterious smile turned to Aki and said, "Don't worry, the surprise won't take too long. The surprise is just around the corner."

With the promise of a surprise in the back of their minds, they divided their tasks.

Izumi took charge of preparing a makeshift fireplace by arranging rocks in a circular formation and collecting dry twigs and branches for kindling.

Aki helped by unfolding collapsible chairs and spreading out cozy blankets for them to sit on.

Rin, on the other hand, began arranging wood and twigs around the fire pit, ensuring everything was ready for a cozy campfire later in the evening. They were all working in tandem, making quick work of setting up their outdoor haven.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and a touch of suspense as they toiled away, wondering what delightful surprise awaited them on this memorable camping excursion.

As the evening sun dipped lower in the sky, casting a warm, golden hue over their campsite, the trio had completed their camp setup. They gathered around the makeshift fireplace and took a well-deserved break.

Izumi sighed contentedly, "I must say, this place is pretty amazing. It's so peaceful and serene."

Rin nodded in agreement, "Yes, it's the perfect spot for our adventure today."

"All right its finally time for the main event of the day" Announced Rin

"Really" Aki was excited beyond limit

Rin smiled and gestured toward a bag that she had placed next to her chair. She reached inside and pulled out a small barbecue grill. The surprise was revealed.

Aki's eyes widened in disbelief. "A barbecue grill?....How did you know?!"

Rin chuckled, she knew it wil be Aki's reaction—

"I have my sources. Your mom mentioned how much you love barbecues, and I thought it would be perfect for a suprise."

Aki was visibly touched and emotional. She wiped a tear from her eye and exclaimed, "Rin,Izumi, this is the best surprise ever! I can't believe you did this for me!"

Rin and Izumi shared a knowing look, appreciating the warmth and camaraderie that had grown among them during their adventures.

"Don't worry about it"

"We are friends, aren't we! Let's have fun"

The sun continued its descent, casting a cozy glow over the trio as they prepared to enjoy a barbecue dinner by the lakeside, cherishing the bonds of friendship and the simple joys of the great outdoors.

With the barbecue sizzling on the grill, the trio couldn't help but enjoy the mouthwatering aroma of the cooking food— Mey who went on a walk around the are also returned and joined them.

They gathered around the grill, flipping the skewers and chatting while they cooked their dinner. The smell of sizzling meat filled the air, making their mouths water.

As they savored the delicious barbecue, they also enjoyed the breathtaking view of the lake in the night (late evening...early night) The reflection of the few visible starts on the calm lake's surface added to the beauty of the moment.

Aki, with a mouthful of barbecue, suddenly looked up at the darkening sky. "Look, guys! The Moon."

They all followed Aki's gaze and saw the white, round moon ascending in the clear, star-studded sky.

Its soft, gentle light bathed the campsite, creating a serene and enchanting atmosphere.

Rin sighed with contentment. "This is a perfect ending to our day. Barbecue under the stars and a moonlit night by the lake—it doesn't get better than this."

Izumi agreed, "You're right, Rin"

As they continued to enjoy their barbecue and the moonlight, they couldn't help but feel a sense of tranquility and unity with the world around them, grateful for the simple pleasures and the friendship they had found.

X-x-x-X

It was next day and Izumi found himself on the way home from school, and as he approached a vending machine, he decided to quench his thirst with a can of cola.

*Clack*

He inserted the coin and made his selection before taking a seat on a nearby bench to enjoy his drink. As he sipped the refreshing cola, his attention was drawn to a conversation happening not too far away.

"Hey, Ajuhijo, have you heard about Karasuno and Nekoma playing practice mstch?" one of the guys in the conversation asked, excitement in his voice.

'Karasuno... Nekoma...'

"The Crows against the Cats! Don't they have some kind of rivelry of sorts" another guy chimed in.

"Yeah, and they even have a nickname for their showdown – 'The Battle of the Garbage Dump,'" the first guy explained with enthusiasm.

Izumi couldn't help but eavesdrop on their conversation, feeling a growing sense of intrigue about this epic rivalry and the impending match.

The conversation Izumi overheard continued to captivate him.

"The Battle of the Garbage Dump... It's gonna be intense," one guy exclaimed, emphasizing the fierce rivalry between Karasuno and Nekoma.

"Both teams have some exceptional players," another chimed in. "I'm not sure about Nekoma, but I've seen Karasuno's matches in the prefectural prelims. They look solid, and there's a chance they might make it to the National Volleyball Championship this year."

'Volleyball... Nationals,' Izumi thought, his mind filled with the prospect of seeing his favorite sport.

But the doubt remained. "Do you really think they can beat Seijo and Shiratorizawa?" one of the guys questioned, recognizing the formidable challenges that awaited Karasuno on their journey— conversations after that Izumi wasn't able to hear that.

'Looks like there's an intense volleyball match happening next weekend,' thought Izumi 'I've got to check it out'

[A/N— this surprise for Aki arc was super hard to write— I ended of having multiple roadblocks~ finding a suitable surprise was also a pain in the back, and I ended up with barbecue and then sprinted over it— well leaving that behind, then next chapter will be Izumi sinking more into the sea of voleyball whole watching the battle of the garbage dump (been wanting to write something like this for years now! I will give me best)~ btw it gonna be Karsuno before the original little giant]

[All right, time to beg for power stones— so let's set a new target for next week! Let's smash 100 because we haven't able to hit it last week and it's not looking good for this week as well]
