"Because I want you to have your family with you during this important moment. I know we've had our differences, but I want this wedding to be a new beginning for both of us, with our loved ones by our side."
Emma turned to look at Bright. "Are you really sure you want to marry me? They'll find out about my past sooner or later. What will they say about that? They'll mock you."
"Let them mock me. I don't care," Bright replied firmly.
"You've really changed," Emma murmured.
"So have you, Emma, but I still love you," Bright said, his voice filled with conviction.
Emma looked into his eyes, searching for any hint of doubt, but found none.
She smiled sadly and rested her head on Bright's shoulder. Bright gently adjusted her so that her head lay against his chest, wrapping his arms around her from behind, providing a comforting embrace.
"I'll wake you when we arrive," Bright said softly.
