For her own peace of mind, Shikera decided to only remember that he knelt for her, and not that she was the second person he was kneeling for.
"Who told you you paid a small price?" she asked, catching hold of his hand before he could walk away. "I'm just...I doubt Mignon told you because you knelt and nothing else. Did you tell her anything else?"
"Nothing that you need to know of," Ethan replied. He removed her hand from his. "You didn't eat breakfast. I'll be in the kitchen."
"Before you go," Shikera stopped him with a surprised stare, "Don't you have any questions to ask me? I already know how you found me but you don't know why I came here. And it also looked like you have a lot of questions."
"That can wait until after you eat. I'm not sure if you'll be able to answer all of my questions while in an hungry state," Ethan replied.
