"What's the matter?"

The emotionless eyes she stared up at him with, seemed to take all of Enoch's courage away.

"Uh? Yeah, I wanted to give you my card. Get anything you want with it," he whispered.

"And why should I take it? Is this an apology?"

Enoch chuckled, trying to cover up his embarrassment.

"What is the use of an apology when we are not fighting? I just wanted to give this—"

"Thanks," Ruthlyn cut him off curtly."I don't need your card."

Noticing that her tone was firm, Enoch straightened himself and walked back to his seat dejectedly.

"What happened?! Did she take it or not?" Raymond asked, hoping in his mind that Ruthlyn didn't collect the card. Then, he would be sure that he did not offend Cyprian. Having tried to call her these past few days and she didn't pick his call, he was getting worried already.

"She didn't."
