บท 81: Eunuch

[Protection Of Aria] was a one-time use artefact that Beorhtric had donned around his neck as it was in a necklace form. It had the ability to protect the wearer from a life-threatening blow, once, before it would completely lose its powers, and that 'one-time' was used to defend against Ken's attack which Beorhtric wasn't ready for as he had estimated that Ken's attack would never be as strong as it was, noticing the state he was in after receiving Beorhtric's attacks.

After the first attack was blocked, the artefact lost its powers, leaving Beorhtric unguarded against Ken's attack which was put forth only to mock Beorhtric, who should have had his heart pierced by Ken's mana-made sword from behind, at least, that's what was supposed to happen according to Ken's thoughts.

But instead of killing him as he intended,

Ken's attack had turned Beorhtric into an eunuch.
