As Primeape was doing his usual flexing and showing off, Lt. Surge sent out his next Pokémon. Coming out of Lt. Surge's Pokéball was a four-legged, dog-like Pokémon with spikey yellow fur, pointed ears, and a spikey white mane. This Pokémon is known as a Jolteon one of the many evolutions of Evee. Coming out onto the battlefield Jolteon gives a battle cry and stares down Primeape with a stoic look just like Electrode and Lt. Surge.
"Begin!" the referee says seeing everyone ready.
"Charge up!" Lt. Surge says to Jolteon.
Then Jolteon begins Gathering Electric Energy around itself, while the metal ground of this battlefield starts having electricity dancing across it. Jolteon appeared to use Charge and Electric Terrain.
"Primeape Buff Up!" I say as Primeape uses his signature opening of Leer and Focus Energy.
"Keep your distance and bring the monkey down with Thunderbolts!" Lt. Surge says as Jolteon begins charging up a Thunderbolt.
"Primeape use Acrobatics to close the distance!" 'Then use Assurance if you get close enough,' I say to Primeape who begins charging Jolteon waiting for the Thunderbolt to dodge it.
As soon as Primeape rushes Jolteon, Jolteon dashes away while continuing to gather its energy. Jolteon was much faster than Primeape, though not as fast as Leo, but still faster than Primeape. Finishing charging its move Jolteon pauses its movement to aim its attack and releases a Thunderbolt at Primeape.
Primeape continued head-on towards Jolteon and waited until the last minute to jump sideways dodging the Thunderbolt as it flew past him. A huge thunderclap was heard as the Thunderbolt crashed into the invisible wall. Jolteon didn't waste any more time and bolted away from Primeape who almost closed the distance with the pause Jolteon needed to aim at him.
"Jolteon charge up and release it around yourself!" Lt. Surge says making me think he wants Jolteon to use Discharge which is practically impossible to dodge.
"Primeape, keep chasing down Jolteon!" 'Then use Stomping Tantrum once it stops to release its move, but get as close as possible to it before releasing your move,' I say to Primeape who keeps charging after Jolteon who is always keeping at least 50ft (15m) distance between them.
Finally, Jolteon stopped once it gathered its energy to release at Primeape. Jolteon knew Primeape needed to get closer anyway for him to be hit. So, Jolteon waited there with its heavy electrical energy crackling around its body, as Primeape gritted his teeth knowing they were about to trade attacks.
Primeape let out a battle cry as he charged toward Jolteon knowing he was about to be struck heavily. Just as Primeape closed the distance to 20ft (6m) Jolteon released the energy built up inside itself. A huge sphere of electrical energy was released in all directions around Jolteon as Primeape began stomping on the ground making the place shake from his strength.
Jolteon's attack struck Primeape first making Primeape cry out in pain as his body naturally seizes up from the electrical energy. Thankfully Primeape was able to finish his move just as Jolteon's attack reached him. Though Jolteon immediately began running once it released its attack, however, it was not able to outrun Primeape's attack.
As Primeape was seizing up, his attack reached the fleeing Jolteon who tripped and slammed into the ground face-first. Jolteon then tumbled as the ground increased its shaking making Jolteon tumble a few feet while crying in pain. This was the first time we heard Jolteon make any noise since it entered the battlefield.
Both Pokémon recovered at the same time, with Primeape now very angered from receiving the attack, but was more in control of his rage this time. Meanwhile, Jolteon pushed itself up but seemed to be favoring its front right leg as it appeared to be more injured than Jolteon was letting on. Then Primeape charged at Jolteon who grimaced as it began running from Primeape.
We can all see that Jolteon is nowhere as fast as it was before, especially since Primeape is quickly closing the distance between them. Though Lt. Surge still has the same emotionless and stoic look on his face.
"Jolteon, use everything you have left on the monkey," Lt. Surge says with a heavier, stricter voice as Jolteon stops and appears to be gathering all of its remaining energy.
"Primeape, prepare to dodge and use Focus Punch!" I say as I am unsure what Jolteon is about to use.
Primeape stops in his tracks while gathering his energy for a Focus Punch and staring at Jolteon with a serious face. Jolteon and Primeape appear to have finished gathering their energy at the same time. Though Primeape remained still waiting for Jolteon to make the first move.
Jolteon seeing Primeape not moving rushes toward him, with an extremely heavy amount of electrical energy surrounding itself. Primeape remained still waiting for Jolteon to get closer, with his energy surrounding his right fist. As Jolten came within a few feet of Primeape, Primeape finally moved.
Primeape using his martial arts and superior close combat techniques side sidestepped the charging Jolteon who just missed him. Then he punched out toward Jolteon's flank with his fist like a bullet and connected with Jolteon's side. It sounded like a cannon fired off as the fist connected with Jolteon's side and Jolteon flew across the battlefield dozens of feet.
Jolteon then crashed into the invisible wall while Primeape let out a heavy breath and his fist looked like it was steaming. Then Jolteon remained unmoving as Primeape stared it down with his blank look, but I could sense the rage inside him.
"Jolteon is unable to battle! The winners are Trainer Lucas and Primeape!" the referee says seeing Jolteon passed out. While Lt. Surge for the first time has a flash of annoyance show on his face, but hides it just as quickly.
"Lt. Surge please send out your last Pokémon," the referee says as Primeape walks back to the start area.
Without saying anything Lt. Surge sends out another Pokéball with a small dark Orange/ brownish furred Pokémon appears. The Pokémon also has very pointed ears that have a small furry curl at the end and a very thin tail that ends in a large yellow lightning bolt.
This Pokémon is Lt. Surge's ace and strongest Pokémon even though it is a small Pokémon. It is called Raichu and is the final Evolution of the Pikachu line. I can tell that Primeape will most likely lose this match, but not before at least dealing decent damage to Raichu. Though Leo could possibly end this match in two or three moves after buffing himself.
"Begin!" the referee says seeing everyone ready once again.
"Primeape buff up again!" I say since it should have run out by now.
"Raichu you buff up too," Lt. Surge says at the same time as me.
Raichu then shows off its move mastery and Rank as it uses three moves in the same amount of time it takes Primeape to use his Leer and Focus Energy. Raichu appeared to use Nasty Plot as a sinister smirk flashed across its face, then used Agility making its already extremely high speed increase even more, and then finally used Double Team making four clones appear.
'Fuck…' I think seeing this as now Primeape looks very annoyed seeing how much the difficulty raised.
"Raichu overwhelm the monkey!" Lt. Surge says with the five Raichu rushing in all directions. Even with my psychic powers, I can't tell the difference between the clones and the real one, showing that Raichu mastered that move completely.
"Primeape, do your best to dodge and land as many hits as you can!" 'Use your Acrobatics to always be on the move and use anything you can to hit them,' I say to Primeape seeing that there is no real way for him to win this considering they are all keeping their distance.
The Raichus releases several moves, with two releasing Thunderbolts, one releasing Discharge, another one releasing Spark and the final one charging Primeape with an Iron Tail prepared. Normally the fake ones would not damage Primeape, however, with a maxed move mastery the moves might damage him slightly.
Primeape looks around seeing them all releasing moves at the same time, then jumps dodging the two Thunderbolts that fly toward him. However, the Discharge does strike him making Primeape grunt meaning the one who released it was not the real Raichu. I kept a mental note of that, while the one who released Spark also grazed Primeape making him grunt from that too. Now, we know which two of them are fake and I keep tabs on the confirmed fake ones.
Then the one with Iron Tail reaches Primeape while he is in mid-air, Primeape uses Cross Chop as the Raichu swipes its Iron Tail at him. The two attacks collide though since this Raichu is another fake, Primeape easily pushes his attack through instead and hits the fake Raichu. The fake Raichu just disappears like it was never there, to begin with, as Primeape lands his attack on it.
The four Raichu recollect themselves, though I mentally tell Primeape which two are the confirmed fakes which means he will ignore them for now and focus on the other two. This time they all release attacks one after the other a second after the one before them releases theirs. They each keep their distance and release a Thunderbolt, Primeape stands there intending to ignore the ones we know are fake and going to try to dodge the ones that might be real.
The first one to release a Thunderbolt is a fake followed by a potential real one. Primeape tanks the first hit just grunting from the minor damage received from it, while ducking and rolling away from the potential real attack. Then charges at the one that just released the second attack. The third one to release was the other fake one, which Primeape ignored while reaching the one to attack the second time.
Primeape managed to land a Cross Chop on the potential real one, but it just disappeared meaning we now know which is the real one. However, just as Primeape figured out who was the real one, the real Raichu released its Thunderbolt which struck Primeape.
Primeape let out a very pained cry as the Thunderbolt struck him making him fall to his one knee in pain. Raichu then used another Double Team while Primeape was recollecting himself and made two more fakes while they all ran around Primeape making us both lose sight of the real one again.
'Shit!' I think while Primeape is trying his best to not lose control of himself to his quickly rising rage.
'Primeape, use Stomping Tantrum while chasing after them,' I say as I am unsure what he can really do in this situation since he just needs to tank the hits to figure it out. But Primeape does not have that kind of defense to do that.
Primeape lets out another cry one filled with even more rage, as he begins chasing down the Raichus and Stomping the ground as he chases them. They are each able to easily keep their distance while charging up another attack. Just like last time they release their attacks one after the other in a quick succession.
Even with Primeape chasing after them, they are still able to time their attacks perfectly stopping for a brief second releasing their Thunderbolts. The first two are fakes as Primeape is unaffected by them but the third one is the real one as Primeape is sent to both his knees this time as he is writhing in pain.
Primeape is slowly getting up trying to push through the pain and the faint electrical arcs dancing across his body show he is stricken with 'Paralyze'. However, Raichu doesn't waste any time and uses Quick Attack to close the distance before landing an Iron Tail on the extremely slow Primeape.
Primeape is sent into the ground with a loud bang and a cloud of dust appears around him. Showing that Primeape was hit so hard he broke through the metal-plated ground and into the dirt below it. As the dust settles we can all see an unconscious Primeape.
"Primeape is unable to battle! The winners are Lt. Surge and Raichu!" the referee says as Raichu walks back to the starting area without a second look at the passed-out Primeape. Lt. Surge also has the same emotionless and stoic look on his face.
