The dim moonlight and the distant distance made it impossible for people to see Godzilla's true face clearly.
But wherever Godzilla stood, it was the brightest figure in the scene.
It was hard not to notice it; a towering giant of a hundred meters appeared in the forest. How could anyone miss it?
Although Godzilla was still a kilometer away from Russell and the others, his appearance had already drawn everyone's attention.
Even Russell, who was dodging the attacks of the Male Muto, shifted his primary focus to Godzilla.
Before seeing Godzilla, Russell had always thought that reptiles, no matter how large, weren't particularly attractive creatures.
However, Godzilla's appearance changed his perspective.
What was dominance? What was an overwhelming presence? What was the aura of a top-of-the-food-chain ruler in the animal kingdom? This was it!
Although there were many Godzilla movies, what truly made Russell a fan of Godzilla were the three films produced by Sony and Legendary Pictures.
If it weren't for the appearance of the handsome Kong from Skull Island in the third film, Godzilla would already have had his own movie trilogy.
In the context of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this was a treatment reserved only for Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor.
When Godzilla appeared on the other side of the forest, the Male Muto hadn't noticed his presence.
All its hatred was now directed at Russell, and it had no interest in anything else.
However, when the distant Godzilla let out a not particularly loud low roar, the rampaging Male Muto regained a shred of sanity.
Although Russell was detestable, the hatred he brought was less compared to what the arch-enemy had caused.
The Male Muto stopped its futile attacks on Russell and turned its gaze toward Godzilla in the distance.
Upon seeing Godzilla, the behemoth that resembled a small mountain, the Male Muto opened its injured mouth and let out a provocative roar toward Godzilla.
Godzilla, oozing with dominance, didn't respond to the Male Muto's challenge with a roar.
In front of the spectators, it seemed that Godzilla, who didn't appear particularly agile, charged toward the Male Muto.
For humans, a one-kilometer distance was not insignificant.
But for Godzilla, who stood over a hundred meters tall, it was nothing.
Within seconds, Godzilla, with his muscular physique radiating power, arrived in front of the Male Muto.
Without Russell's command, when they saw Godzilla charging toward the Male Muto, both Hulk and Kara, as well as No. 3, ceased their attacks on the Male Muto simultaneously.
Mr. Fantastic Reed and others did the same, stepping back to avoid the imminent clash.
Boom!
The small mountain-like Godzilla and the Male Muto collided heavily, creating a dull but resounding impact.
Although Godzilla had never encountered the Male Muto before, the hatred ingrained in their bloodlines drove them to engage in a frenzied battle the moment they met.
They bit and clawed at each other without grace or style.
Godzilla and the Male Muto's battle might not have been aesthetically pleasing, but it was filled with primal and pure wildness.
While Godzilla and the Male Muto were in the midst of their fierce battle, Russell adjusted the position and angle of the biomimetic falcon hovering in the air, leaving the task of achieving better broadcasting effects to No. 3.
As for himself, he floated in the air alongside Kara, enjoying the spectacle of Godzilla and the Male Muto's battle.
Two behemoths, resembling small mountains, were locked in combat. Neither the Fantastic Four nor the S.H.I.E.L.D.'s agents could intervene.
Hulk, on the other hand, had an eager expression, seemingly itching to join the battle after witnessing Godzilla and the Male Muto in action.
However, before Hulk could act, Russell stopped him.
While Hulk certainly had the capability to join the battle between Godzilla and the Male Muto, he wasn't the focal point of this encounter.
After a few minutes of intense combat between Godzilla and the Male Muto, Russell gave the command for Grendel, who was circling high above, to join the battle.
Upon receiving Russell's orders, Grendel, positioned in the sky tens of thousands of meters high, didn't hesitate for a moment. With a powerful flap of his enormous black wings, he descended like a meteor toward the island of Oahu.
If S.H.I.E.L.D.'s and the Fantastic Four's detection instruments hadn't been destroyed by the electromagnetic pulse, they would have been able to detect that, at this very moment, a black dragon of a size no less than Godzilla was rapidly descending from the sky above them.
The Symbiote Dragon, Grendel, had made his entrance!
The first to notice Grendel's arrival wasn't Mr. Fantastic Reed and his team, nor the S.H.I.E.L.D.'s agents, but Hulk, who had been stopped by Russell from participating in the monster battle.
Unable to join the fight, Hulk sat on the ground, looking bored. He stared up at the night sky, reminiscing about the two barrels of whiskey he had left at the airport.
Then, he spotted Grendel making a high-speed descent.
"Someone big's coming!"
Originally, Hulk had only intended to quietly inform Russell and Kara through their radio earpieces. However, in his excitement, he shouted it out loud.
Upon hearing Hulk's shout, Mr. Fantastic Reed and his team, as well as S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Agent Coulson and his team, all followed Hulk's gaze.
This was...
If Godzilla's arrival had already shocked Mr. Fantastic Reed and the others, seeing Grendel, who was of a comparable size to Godzilla and was rapidly gliding toward the ground, left them all stupefied.
Was today some sort of gathering day for prehistoric monsters?
They didn't have much time to ponder.
Just as Grendel was about to fall heavily to the ground like a meteor, he suddenly spread his wings and transformed his rapid descent into a glide.
Grendel, resembling an ancient dragon, flew over Russell and the others' heads like a dark storm cloud, bringing with him a hurricane-like powerful airflow as he sped toward the ongoing battle between Godzilla and the Male Muto.
Grendel didn't consider Godzilla as his primary target; instead, he aimed for the seemingly weaker Male Muto.
In the midst of the intense battle between Godzilla and the Male Muto, they hadn't noticed Grendel's arrival. This was because Grendel wasn't a true Titan monster.
Grendel was a symbiote, and he lacked the special sonar systems that Titan monsters shared.
In simple terms, Grendel had no way of communicating with any Titan monsters because, to Godzilla and the Male Muto, he was an alien who didn't understand the native language.
Not being able to communicate was a minor issue, but it also gave Grendel a slight advantage.
That advantage was that Godzilla and the Male Muto couldn't sense his presence in the super-visual range.
As Grendel, in his high-speed glide, approached the Male Muto, he suddenly grabbed the struggling creature with his powerful front claws.
Without giving the Male Muto a chance to resist, Grendel took off into the air, carrying the Male Muto with him.
The duel between Godzilla and the Male Muto, the battle of the two titans, had now turned into a three-way struggle.
