As Caleb and the Ant King wandered further from the bamboo grove, they arrived at a more open area, marked by a gently flowing river and a waterfall cascading down a rocky face. The sound of water striking the riverbed created a soothing melody, complemented by the rustling leaves of the trees that lined the riverbank.
"I've never been here before," Caleb remarked, scanning the serene landscape that still fell within the tiny fraction of the wilderness known to humankind. "But it feels like a good place to rest for the night."
The Ant King nodded, his newly acquired form shimmering slightly in the fading sunlight. "It's peaceful," he agreed, "and safer than most spots we've passed."
They chose a spot near the waterfall, where the mist cooled the air, making it a refreshing place to set up their temporary camp. As they settled down, Caleb pointed to the river, where fish occasionally leaped above the surface, catching the light of the setting sun.
