Dwun stared at his phone, dialing Ging's number. After a few minutes, he gave up.
"Sure enough, Ging's phone is unreachable, and I can't track their location. It seems that once you cross a certain boundary, all signals from this side are blocked."
No one was surprised by this.
List took out four cards and handed them to Menchi and Buhara.
"No time to waste. As per the plan, let's conduct the experiment. Since both of you have been to the Dark Continent, you two will try these cards."
Menchi and Buhara took the cards. This was something they had agreed upon from the start. In their hands were two pairs of "Spell Card · Magnetism" and "Spell Card · Return."
The "Spell Card · Magnetism" allows the user to fly to a specified person they've encountered before on Greed Island, referring specifically to people like Germain.
In theory, no matter where Germain and the others are on the Six Continents, "Spell Card · Magnetism" should be able to teleport Menchi and Buhara to them.
However, long-distance teleportation is already difficult in itself, and now they are on the Dark Continent, which is outside the Six Continents. Its effectiveness is uncertain, so Menchi and Buhara needed to test it.
As for the "Spell Card · Return," it was to bring them back and confirm the possibility of the whole process.
Having spent many days on Greed Island, Menchi and Buhara were already familiar with the process of using the cards. First, they wore the rings, then summoned the Magic Book, and finally used the cards.
"Using 'Spell Card · Magnetism'! Target: Germain!" they said in unison.
However, ten seconds passed, and they were still standing in place. The "Spell Card · Magnetism" did not work. They exchanged a glance and changed their target.
"Using 'Spell Card · Magnetism'! Target: Ging!"
The card still didn't work. They then tried switching the targets to Bisky and Shizuku, but the result was the same. They couldn't be teleported.
Next, they asked everyone else to step away from the dungeon hall and used the "Spell Card · Companion."
This card allows all players within a 20-meter radius to fly to a specified person or place they've seen on Greed Island.
But once again, the result was the same—the cards had no effect.
Menchi and Buhara weren't particularly disappointed. They called everyone back and reported the final results of the experiment.
Dwun sighed and summarized,
"It seems that the 'spell cards' that could have allowed us to pass or bring them back won't work… Although I expected this, it's still a bit disappointing."
List pursed his lips.
"Using the game consoles and cartridges to contact Greed Island and the Dark Continent probably won't work either. However, Ging likely won't give up easily, and he may try to improve and try again later."
"I think even if it works, we'd need at least one or two game consoles set up in the sea between Greed Island and the Dark Continent."
Dwun nodded repeatedly. "I understand what you mean—it's like a relay station… It's definitely impossible to do it right now. Ging must be very disappointed right now…"

Meanwhile, on the Dark Continent, in front of the towering ancient labyrinth city.
Germain stood next to a monument set up by the special forces of the United States of Saherta, standing on a patch of grass that barely reached his heels. He gazed at the rising red sun between the mountains.
"It looks like the time is almost the same as when we arrived—about 8 o'clock."
"After all, the five great disasters are all on the eastern shores of Mobius Lake, quite close to the Six Continents. They're almost in the same time zone."
He looked down at the teleporter lantern at his feet, and its projection clearly appeared.
"Lantern Location: Ancient Labyrinth City"
"Cooldown Time: 64 hours (Cooling Down)"
64 hours, almost 3 full days. This meant that Germain and his group would be staying on the Dark Continent for three nights, and they'd probably return to the Six Continents around midnight on the 28th.
He thought for a moment, then took back the teleporter lantern and looked at the other three who were free to move about. Then, he heard a sigh from Ging.
Ging, like a biker, squatted on the grass, staring at the game console wrapped in his Nen aura, looking slightly frustrated.
"It's clear that it's not so easy to establish direct contact with the Six Continents here."
"There's no signal, and neither Menchi nor Buhara flew to our side. Greed Island must have failed as well."
He didn't dwell on it too much. He stood up and looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings, breathing in the thick Aura in the air, which instantly made him feel refreshed.
Ging turned to Germain and said, "The bad news is we can't directly get help from Greed Island. The good news is we've already reached the Dark Continent."
After being teleported here, he first glanced at the United States of Saherta monument by Germain's feet, then looked up at the towering buildings ahead, each resembling an obelisk.
In *Journey to the New World: Eastern Volume*, there was a rough sketch of an ancient labyrinth city that looked quite similar to what was before him.
Only a few things had changed, as it had been two or three hundred years since then.
He wondered if, back then, Don had also stood in this very spot, drawing the city from this same angle?
