"Yes…" she responded through her chapped lips. Though hearing his words did fill her with a sense of dread and apprehension.

He felt her mood shift too… 

Taiga desperately hoped that he would not overwhelm his mate in her present condition. 

"Listen… I guess it's no secret how I had my first shift when I was barely a teenager. It seems the entire Werewolf Nation already knows," he started uneasily with his blue eyes reflecting past regrets. "Normally, werewolves do not have their first shift until they come of age– When one is mature enough to manage their primal half."
