In the hotel room.
"Are you guys done washing up?"
Sadie stood outside the bathroom door, yelling loudly inside.
After a while, an evidently excited child's voice came from inside, "Aunt Lily, no running!"
"Ah—stop—!"
Immediately after, there was a splash.
Then, the sounds of splashing water echoed from the bathroom again.
Sadie, standing outside, couldn't help but facepalm.
Half an hour earlier, Alice had suddenly asked her to bring up some everyday items and clothes, including pajamas, for a five-year-old boy.
She had another key card for this suite.
She had intended to just drop off the items and leave.
But upon entering, she found Alice bathing with the child.
This piqued her curiosity.
Aside from her own Abbie and Lulu, she couldn't think of anyone else who would receive such treatment from Alice.
Sadie's sixth sense told her that the child inside might very well be Alice's elder son, the one she left in Eastonia.
All of Sadie's gossiping cells were stirred up.
