The silence at this moment was just like that which followed when Wanda Wesley voluntarily answered but received no response.

Awkwardness, embarrassment, anxiety, and confusion gripped Vanessa Brooke's body and mind.

She took a deep breath and bravely began to explain.

She analyzed the problem in segments, discussing the points of knowledge that were relevant to the previous question, in an almost parrot-fashion manner.

'So, essentially, what this question is testing is still the acid-base proton theory.'

'I know that's what's being tested, but how do I solve it?' Chloe Collins looked puzzled.

Vanessa Brooke suddenly fell silent.

Under the gaze of many eyes, she forced a smile and said, 'There seems to be a problem with this question. I'll look over it again after going back and talk to you about it in the next class. We're having a meeting now, so you guys may leave.'
