John Brown held back for a moment before turning off his phone.
"Boss, what're you doing at the Archives? Gathering information?"
"Yes," he replied.
"What kind of information do you need? Maybe I can help."
Amelia Cobb showed interest, leaning on the back of the driver's seat with a deceitful look on her face, "John! If I were to feud with your brother, whose side would you be on?"
John's first reaction wasn't to choose a side, but to ask, "Why should I feud?"
"Do we need a reason?"
"Of course," John responded. "Just like how you're feuding with Yvonne Jones because you stole her man—."
Slap! Amelia raised her hand to slap him on the shoulder.
She reprimanded him, "Watch your language."
"Because her man is interested in you," John had a quick-witted change of heart and altered his excuse.
"Then there must be a reason for a feud between you and my brother."
"I — damn it!" Just as John made a turn, a car swooshed by him, almost scraping against his vehicle.
