Christopher Robinson was torn apart that day.

Perhaps it was the past six months that gave him a false sense of security; becoming accustomed to seeing Amelia Cobb every day after work. If not absolutely necessary, he wouldn't have made this trip to Fong Hong.

He headed out the door with apprehension. Not even one day had passed, and Amelia Cobb had already played the card of spending the night out. How could he bear it?

When Sadie sent a text message telling him that Amelia Cobb was back home, he immediately made a call.

Amelia Cobb turned over and sat up, and seeing Sadie standing at the door cautiously with her mobile phone, she said flatly, "Come in." Sadie replied tentatively, "Miss Amelia, your husband is on the phone."

Amelia Cobb glanced at the time: one minute past twelve.

She was on the verge of laughing out of sheer absurdity.

She wondered, was this man overly energetic, or was he just not ready to let her go?
