The morning sun filtered softly through the curtains as Yuji Itadori slept soundly. Yet, within the recesses of his mind, a conversation was unfolding.
In this dream-like realm, Yuji found himself face-to-face with a figure who bore a striking resemblance to him, though there were clear differences. The figure, jokingly called "Ghost-Sensei," had the same tousled hair as Yuji but wore a pristine white kimono, contrasting sharply with Yuji's casual school uniform
"Yuji," Ghost-Sensei began, his voice echoing with an eerie calm, "there's something we need to discuss about Jujutsu Sorcerers."
Yuji looked at the figure with a mix of curiosity and confusion. "Sure, what's up?"
Ghost-Sensei's gaze was steady. "Every sorcerer has a cursed technique, an ability that's imprinted in their brain. But if that's the case, why don't you have one, Yuji?"
Yuji hesitated before responding. "Is it because of Sukuna?"
Ghost-Sensei nodded. "Yes, because of Sukuna, his presence has been imprinting itself onto your body. However, due to your nearly maximum resistance, you've only gained the benefits without the usual drawbacks."
Yuji's brow furrowed. "Does this mean I'll never get my own cursed technique?"
"Not exactly," Ghost-Sensei replied. "You've become quite an anomaly. Sukuna's techniques are manifesting within you, but so could your own. Before you can fully access your own abilities, you need to ensure that Sukuna doesn't override your control over your body. You must remain dominant."
Yuji's expression hardened with determination. "I'll never let him back in control."
Ghost-Sensei's eyes softened with a hint of approval. "Good. One last thing—be cautious. When October 31st comes, you need to be as strong as possible."
Before Yuji could respond, the dreamscape began to fade, and he awoke with a start. He blinked groggily, trying to grasp the significance of Ghost-Sensei's final words. Shaking off the remnants of the dream, Yuji shrugged and headed outside.
He had heard about the barbecue being held today and was looking forward to enjoying the day.
*SLAM!*
That door, had a clear crack in it, once again, Yuji's strength had grown once more...
...
As Megumi and Nobara walked toward Yuji's dorm room, the morning air was filled with the promise of a much-needed break. Megumi, walking beside them, wore a contemplative expression.
"Nobara," Megumi began cautiously, "there's something I need to tell you, but please keep it between us."
Nobara raised an eyebrow, sensing the gravity in his tone. "What's up?"
"It's about the Yasohachi Bridge curse," Megumi explained. "Sukuna's incarnation triggered it. I don't want Yuji to know."
Nobara looked at Megumi with concern. "Why not? He deserves to know if it's connected to what we've been dealing with."
Megumi shook his head. "It's... complicated. I just think it's better if he doesn't know right now."
As the conversation unfolded, Yuji's mind was preoccupied with Sukuna's voice echoing in his thoughts. The curse's taunts were relentless, bringing up the deaths caused by his presence. "You know," Sukuna's voice sneered, "you've caused so many deaths. It's amusing how you're still trying to play the hero."
Yuji's jaw tightened. "Shut up. I don't need to hear your crap right now."
He was aware of the irony in his situation. "It seems like Sukuna and I have really come to hate each other," he muttered, his voice a mix of frustration and resignation.
Despite the turmoil within him, Yuji pushed these thoughts aside as they reached the central area of the school. The middle of the school courtyard was bustling with activity. Classmates and Kyoto students alike were gathered, setting up for the barbecue.
There was an air of camaraderie as people chatted and laughed, the earlier tension of their mission melting away into a more relaxed atmosphere.
...
The morning at the school's courtyard was lively with the sounds of chatter, laughter, and the occasional sizzle of meat on the grill. Gojo Satoru, in his trademark blindfold, was busy trying to get the barbecue fire started. His attempts were somewhat less than successful, with the flames sputtering and dying out
Utahime, Gojo's old classmate, was already ahead of him, her grill crackling and producing a savory aroma. She glanced over at Gojo's struggles with amusement.
"Need some help there, Gojo?" she called out with a teasing tone.
Gojo, not one to easily admit defeat, puffed out his chest and declared, "My students have outclassed Kyoto in every way. We're talking about the next generation of top-tier sorcerers here!"
Utahime rolled her eyes, "Strength isn't everything, you know. Some of us value teamwork and strategy."
Gojo, ever the child at heart, plugged his ears dramatically and sang, "Lalalalala! I can't hear you!" as he playfully avoided Utahime's comments. His antics made the surrounding students chuckle.
Nearby, Maki, Panda, and Toge Inumaki were seated at the Tokyo bench, sharing their own conversation and food. They waved enthusiastically as Megumi, Nobara, and Yuji approached, their faces lighting up with friendly smiles.
Suddenly, a loud, familiar voice cut through the din. "Brother!" Todo Aoi boomed, his presence unmistakable. He jogged over to Yuji with a grin, clearly excited to see him.
Yuji froze, a look of mild embarrassment crossing his face. He recalled the awkward moment of their previous encounter and immediately tried to dodge the attention. "Hey, Todo!" he called back awkwardly, making a quick getaway.
Megumi and Nobara exchanged glances, shrugging in unison. They didn't quite understand the dynamics between Yuji and Todo but didn't dwell on it as they continued toward their friends.
As the laughter and chatter of the barbecue continued, Maki's sharp eyes caught sight of her sister, Mai, standing off to the side, looking as disinterested as ever. A mischievous idea took shape in Maki's mind.
Without hesitation, she grabbed Nobara by the arm and marched over to Mai. "Mai!" Maki declared enthusiastically, "You and Nobara are joining me for a 'Girls' Night'! We need some serious bonding time!"
Mai blinked in surprise, her expression barely changing. "Seriously? Can't I just enjoy the barbecue?"
"Nope, no excuses!" Maki insisted with a grin. "We're making this happen."
Nobara, caught off guard but somewhat intrigued, shrugged and followed along as Maki dragged Mai away. Their departure left Megumi standing with Inumaki and Panda.
Panda, sensing the awkward atmosphere between Megumi and Inumaki, decided to leave to chase after Yuji, who was being harassed by Todo. This left Megumi alone with Inumaki, who was known for his extremely limited verbal communication due to his Cursed Speech technique.
Inumaki's Cursed Speech made every word he uttered a command that could affect others, so he spoke primarily in rice ball ingredients to avoid accidentally giving orders. As a result, his speech was cryptic, consisting of phrases like "Tuna mayo" and "Salmon." Conversations with him were notoriously difficult.
Megumi, feeling somewhat out of place and not ready to join the carefree atmosphere of the barbecue, decided to make an effort to connect with Inumaki. "So, Inumaki, how's everything going?" he asked, trying to strike up a conversation.
Inumaki responded with a simple "Salmon."
Megumi frowned slightly, unsure of how to interpret the response. Undeterred, he tried again. "What about the recent missions? Anything interesting?"
Inumaki's reply was "Salmon."
Megumi sighed, feeling the conversation slipping away. Determined not to give up, he tried a new tactic. "Okay, let's talk about something else. Do you watch cooking videos?"
Inumaki's eyes lit up slightly, and he wrote something down on a notepad. Megumi leaned in, reading the note: "I like them. Good recipes."
Surprised by the positive response, Megumi's curiosity was piqued. "Really? I'm terrible at cooking, but I've been trying to improve. Maybe you have some tips?"
As Megumi talked about his disastrous attempts at cooking, Inumaki seemed genuinely interested. His responses, written on the notepad, offered some useful advice and even a few encouraging words.
Despite the initial difficulty in communication, Megumi found himself engaging in a surprisingly enjoyable conversation. They discussed various recipes and cooking techniques, with Megumi occasionally getting excited about his culinary failures.

[Auther: Yo. Aww, look how nice this is.
1. It'd suck if I killed everyone...
2. I do need Inumaki alive, he's useful.]
