Charles turned to look at Shikamaru Nara, who had just spoken up. Shikamaru was a genius with an exceptionally high IQ, though he had a tendency to be lazy.
It was only after experiencing the pain of losing his teacher that he chose to take being a ninja more seriously and diligently.
It was a pity that in the later stages of Naruto, he lacked the ability to use high-level techniques such as piloting Gundam and Sage Mode. This limited his contributions during the final battles.
Charles shook his head. "As of now, you are the only one from Team 10 who has arrived in this world."
"However, don't worry. I believe it won't be long before all the members of your Team 10 join you in this world."
Charles was determined to gather all the Konoha 12 in this world. Since he could recruit the ninjas, he was confident that all their members would eventually come together.
As for their abilities, even if most of them only reached elite jonin, with enough fusion of ninja cards, they could reach the level of Kage.
Shikamaru respectfully replied, "I understand, Lord Charles."
At that moment, the conference room door was knocked on, indicating that Yamato had arrived with the members of Team 8.
After knocking a few times, Yamato pushed open the conference room door and entered. Upon opening the door, Yamato saw the two new ninjas present in the room.
Yamato led Team 8 members to stand in front of Charles, paying their respects. "Lord Charles."
Yamato maintained a calm demeanor without much emotional fluctuation, but he marveled at Lord Charles's power. He had managed to bring two more Konoha ninjas in such a short time, including a jonin-level ninja.
Unlike Yamato's calmness, the three members of Team 8 were excited. Not only did they see their classmate Shikamaru Nara, but they also saw their original team leader, Kurenai Yuhi.
Yamato had been serving as Team 8's temporary leader, taking them on missions. While Yamato was a good teacher, they missed their original instructor, Kurenai Yuhi.
Seeing their instructor so soon was a pleasant surprise, but the three members of Team 8 kept their emotions in check in front of Lord Charles.
Charles addressed the group, "Yamato, this is Jonin Kurenai Yuhi, the original leader of Team 8."
"I have brought her here as well. The three members of Team 8 will now be under her leadership again, while you will be assigned other tasks."
Yamato responded respectfully, "Yes, Lord Charles."
"Jonin Kurenai, you will remain as Team 8's leader and continue teaching them."
"Yes, Lord Charles."
Kurenai looked at her three students, feeling a sense of familiarity and relief upon seeing them in this unfamiliar world.
However, she was curious about how many Konoha ninjas had been brought to this world.
"But before you lead them on missions, you need to familiarize yourself with this world."
"Yes, Lord Charles."
"Very well, Kurenai, you should take your three students and explore the base and learn the basics of this world."
"Hinata, you and your team should guide your instructor."
"Yes, Lord Charles!"
With the arrangement for Team 8 completed, only Yamato and Shikamaru Nara remained in the conference room.
Charles intended to assign Shikamaru to work with Ginny to handle some administrative tasks.
However, Shikamaru was still too young. Despite having gone through significant events such as the Konoha Collapse plan and the pursuit of Sasuke, his personality and strength were still somewhat weak and underdeveloped.
Ideally, Charles would have preferred to assign a more mature Shippuden-era Shikamaru, who had become more composed, mature, and capable in terms of both intelligence and strength.
While Charles was contemplating how to handle Shikamaru, the conference room door suddenly opened, and Ginny rushed in excitedly.
"Boss, you're back!"
Charles nodded as he observed Ginny's excitement. "I'm back temporarily to take care of some matters, but I'll be leaving tomorrow."
Hearing that Charles's stay was temporary, Ginny calmed down a bit, but she was still happy to see him.
Charles continued, "Since you're here, I have someone for you to oversee."
"Shikamaru Nara, this is my secretary, Ginny."
"She handles the base's logistics, finances, and various matters concerning the normal human world."
"In the coming days, you should follow Ginny to learn about this world and the workings of the base."
Shikamaru glanced at Ginny, who had just entered the room, and respectfully responded, "Yes, Lord Charles."
Charles addressed Ginny, "Don't be fooled by his young age. Shikamaru is the heir to the Nara clan and possesses a high IQ. He's intelligent and well-suited to handling administrative tasks."
"Additionally, he is a skilled shinobi."
Upon hearing that she was assigned a shinobi, Ginny was quite excited. Since joining Charles's team, she had mostly been working with werewolves and the sole vampire, Selene.
Ninja-related matters had always been managed either by Charles himself or Tsunade. She was pleasantly surprised to be given a ninja under her supervision.
Although he was a chunin, Ginny considered him much stronger than werewolves.
"Boss, I will take good care of Shikamaru."
Charles nodded in satisfaction. "I'm confident you'll handle Shikamaru well."
"Also, prepare a banquet tonight to celebrate the addition of three new ninjas."
Ginny nodded, "I will arrange it."
She then turned to Shikamaru and said, "Come with me, Shikamaru Nara."
Ginny led Shikamaru out of the conference room to introduce him to the workings of the world and begin planning the welcome banquet.
Charles turned to Yamato and asked, "Has anything unusual happened at the base while I've been gone?"
"What have the various ninjas been up to?"
Yamato respectfully answered, "Nothing out of the ordinary has occurred. Everyone has been following Lady Tsunade's orders and carrying out their duties."
"Shizune has been leading Team 3 on missions, and Iruka regularly visits the Orphanage to see the children there."
"Kakashi has been leading Team 7. Though Sasuke is learning from Orochimaru, Kakashi has no objections."
"As for Orochimaru, aside from his experiments, he has been teaching Sasuke. However, the rate of his consumption of materials in experiments is quite high."
"As for Tsunade, while you were gone, she lost $300 million."
Charles was surprised to hear that Tsunade had lost such a large sum. Her salary certainly didn't amount to $300 million.
"Where did she get that kind of money?"
