Entry 53:
Michael POV:
Anakim was an oddity amongst the angels, ignoring his stature, which stood above every angel. His existence could be defined by one word.
Incomplete.
When he was created, he was God's last angel, and his potential seemed average. Nothing really stood out about him except his impressive stature and odd weapon.
Yet when anyone brought attention to this, the Angels simply nodded, accepting that he was somewhat different but ultimately run of the mill.
But now the fire I see in his eyes is like a blazing inferno, and it was almost infectious as even I was happy that my fellow brother had found a purpose or at least something to keep him going.
In all honesty, I wish I could share that drive as, in recent days, more Angels continued to fall without God. Our system is failing apart even with myself at the helm, and Gabriel and I were even here because of a change.
Yesterday, Anakim's name glowed in the book of Angels, yet after a couple of seconds, the light dimmed, and I found his name still there, but it had not moved.
This perplexed me as this had never happened before, so as I went to investigate, Gabriel came with me as she had always been interested in the angel. I never knew whether it was romantic or purely just curiosity.
Now that I stand before my brother, I see he is complete. He still retains that stoic look, but it is filled with vigor and fire and not just to face our enemies but to improve as one need only look at the improvements he made to his residence to see his new mindset.
" If you can hear me, God I thank you for helping our brother find his missing piece," I pray to our fallen father, as while he is not here, I will always worship what he was.
And then he took out his spear, and I nearly recoiled in fear, which surprised me as even the presence of that weapon presented a threat to me.
The weapon emitted an intent that stated, "I serve the angel before you, and all shall fall if you stand in his way."
I almost smiled as the weapon was like a sacred gear developing its own ego, and I began to conclude about our brother's purpose.
If God created him to serve a purpose or a rule, I think I finally realize which one that is, or this may be a fluke I must see.
Along the way, Gabriel kept that vacant smile on her face, and anytime I talk to her, it is like speaking to someone who always knew the answer but never told you.
But now, even she feels more alive and admits that her precognition ability can now only be used to see a few minutes into the future.
And when in our brother's presence, Gabriel was shaking slightly with excitement as if seeing something beautiful.
But regardless, I do hope our brother has genuinely found that missing peace, as from what I see right now, I am content.
But what I am not content about is what his report told as it seems our fallen brothers and sisters are on the hunt for a powerful sacred gear, possibly a Longinus.
And with most of the Longinus sacred gear wielders being unknown, this could be a turning point. The change that my brother speaking of may be related to the discovery of this longinus sacred gears new holder.
And if what informants in Japan are reporting, the fallen are moving towards the town of Kuoh.
I groan internally as this will be a political mess as that town is not only under the jurisdiction of the devils via permission given by the Yokai faction, but it also holds two daughters of two different members of the Satans.
(I will be honest with you guys: I don't know what to do with Issei in this context, so I hope you guys will give me some recommendations that I may use. I have some ideas in the works, but anything helps.)
And from what I hear from the underworld, one of the daughters is in an arranged marriage that she does not desire.
While I may be happy that I have been in talks with the Satans and Azazel for peace talks between the three biblical factions, such events complicate matters.
" Lord Michael, are you all right? You seem troubled?" Anakim asks, looking concerned.
I simply shake my head and respond to my troubled brother, "No, Anakim, I am fine, just contemplating complex matters."
My brother simply smiled and said, "I do not envy your position, as I loathe having to do paperwork."
This makes me chuckle as I imagine stacks of paperwork have already been placed on my desk as I've had only this short conversation.
To this day, I am convinced that paperwork was the devil's creation.
But then my brother gives me a suggestion that practically makes me wish, makes me wish I had thought of it sooner.
" Lord Michael, I could create a device that could do the paperwork for you if you so desire, unless you like that type of activity."
My smile almost breaks as Anakim returns to another room and, after 15 minutes, comes back out with a machine resembling an advanced human fax machine.
He places the machine into my arms and begins to explain how it works, which is rather revolutionary as it analyzes each different document and, using relevant data, does the paperwork for me.
If only he was archangel levels of power, I would offer him my job right then and there.
But to keep up appearances, I simply bow to my brother and profess my profound thanks. " Thank you shall come in handy, and I hope you may create copies for my fellow archangels."
(Operation get-in with the Archangels is a go because the best way to get through to busy people gives them ways to avoid paperwork.)
He nods and shows Gabriel and me the door, with Gabriel asking to remain with our brother alone, which I respect, and return to the higher levels of Heaven with a bit more speed than usual.
Linus Ozias POV:
Gain Michael's good graces complete because if you wanna get through busy men, give them away to make the paperwork go away.
And as the two were leaving, Gabriel stayed behind, which unnerved me.
But before I could ask Gabriel if she was all right and why she was not leaving just yet, She did something that genuinely shocked me.
She bows on one knee and states reverently, " It seems my visions are coming to fruition, and you have found your missing piece. I await you as you rebuild Heaven in your name. I cannot see anything past the end, but it will be glorious, and I shall follow you."
She then leaves while swaying her hips seductively, which was truly hot.
But enough reminiscing on Gabriel's ass because I can get a harem by my essences. They will not be the end goal, but who says you can't go for side objectives while going through the main quest.
My goal will forever and always be that kitsune, but I need to focus on my actual goals first. Getting maidens comes next.
I'm going to need to activate my grind set here, and it seems my sword is now complete, as I can feel it calling to me.
Encarmine is then taken from the forge as it whips to my hand like Mjiolnir, and I feel it calling out for blood, which somewhat alarms me.
But my will is unshakable, and this blade will act as a whetstone to sharpen my focus and soul upon my mission.
I will reshape Heaven in my name, and it seems like I already have a source I can rely on, Gabriel, who shall keep me informed on the events that have transpired.
First, I must locate the "Hero" Faction, which will be difficult due to the nature of dimension lost, but all I need to do is scan the planet and place probes to scour the dimensional gap.
I seek them first because of one reason: their Longinus sacred gears.
Especially the spear that pierced Christ himself that, according to the lore, holds the last will of God and his ability to place his truth upon the world.
And in all honesty, the world will not miss them as they are all self-righteous fools who believe that heroes shall gain glory upon the corpses of everything they view as evil.
It is an insult to the name hero because while I agree that heroes are individuals who have gained glory based on their actions, they are remembered more for what they have done to improve humanity.
Heroes are the greatest of fools with the largest of, and while this hero faction may wield powerful weapons, what they fight for is stupid and hypocritical.
And if they do not kneel, they shall be made to see the light.
Cao Cao will die, though, because not only is he the one who exemplifies his philosophy, but he is also the linchpin that holds his group together.
But for now, I must focus on forging my armor, as while I have a set for myself, it is lacking.
I can see it now as an armor lined with nth metal that negates most forms of magic and a robust material to combine with others.
So I returned to the forge because I had work to do.
