Shen Tian happily left the system room and went to the storage room to check his rewards.
"Not here?", Shen Tian was puzzled as the storage room was exactly how it looked like the last the he was in here. "System?"

Shen Tian went outside of the house as per the system's instruction. A few distance away from his house, he saw a sectioned off piece of land. In between his house and the farm, there was also a small shed newly built by the system. He went straight to the shed to check out what's inside.
Opening the shed, Shen Tian was welcomed with the vitality of the potato seedlings and rice seedlings inside. Seeing them all green and healthy, Shen Tian can already imagine the bountiful harvest that's waiting for him.
On the corner of the shed, Shen Tian also noticed common farming tools - hoes, rakes, wheelbarrow, and shovels, two of a kind.

Just thinking about the fact that he can eat fresh chicken tonight, Shen Tian can't help but drool secretly.
Upon reaching the kitchen, Shen Tian proceeded to take out the chicken and other ingredients that he planned to use for tonight's meal. First, he cooked rice. For the chicken, he deboned and pan-fried them, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Thinking about the new companion in the house, Shen Tian remembered that the guy was sick with fever.
He took out another pot and cooked light congee as well.

"You didn't have to do that." Shao Haoran was embarrassed to receive additional favors from Shen Tian.
During the apocalypse, it isn't anyone's obligation to share their own food with anyone. Food is very precious now, so Shao Haoran was a bit embarrass to leech off Shen Tian's food supply.
"Food is precious these days. You should keep what you have for yourself. Don't always share it with anyone," Shao Haoran seriously lectured Shen Tian. "You won't know when you'd get a new supply of food. What would you do if you run out?"
Shen Tian felt warm at his words. He knows that the young man was good at heart and that these are his heartfelt words with his well-being in mind.
"You don't have to worry," Shen Tian replied. "I still have enough food to feed two guests at the moment."
