บท 64: 64. Glare

Alarms blared in Tristan's head even if he could only look on in astonishment. He snapped out of his daze and jumped backward when the ape grunted, however.

Wincing, he clutched his side but felt grateful the wound had not been too deep. It closed up in mere seconds.

"It has elemental abilities," he sighed, shaking his head. The ape rose to its knees before standing. It shook just its head as though reconfiguring its brain.

Allowing it to regain its composure had been a blunder.

Deciding his next series of actions, Tristan's figure shot forward.

Or so he expected.

He fell to his hands the moment he tried to move!

Alarms further raged in his head when his gaze landed on his un-responding feet. Or rather, the ground had solidified around them!

His instincts roared and he looked up only to find the ape towering above him. Its arms were raised, and without a moment of hesitation brought them down in one mighty smash.
