บท 7: Chapter 2.1
Light definitely wasn't ready for the headaches.
Walking up to the school gate and already seeing people whispering or gossiping about him...
He wasn't ready , sure both parents tried to keep him home but Japanese's school systems suck , unless you're actually dead you can not learn or study.
He walks towards his classroom and 10 minutes early and sat down.
And what pisses him off more than anything is that he already went , memorised and passed this class .
The teacher entered the class and was happy to see me , but he noticed that I was different.
My hair grew a few inches and my uniform was unnaturally tidy .
" L– Light ! How long since we haven't talked ! Made a celebrity of yourself huh ??"
The teacher tried to joke but Light just looked at him in disgust .
His life was hell for a few months since Kira arrived, he gets heart attacks on the daily basis because Kira is a freak , has almost no privacy due to stalkers and journalists and the teacher wants to joke about it ?
Light flat out ignored that teacher and for the rest of the lesson he made it as hard as possible for the teacher to teach .
Not by interrupting but by calling out every little mistakes he did during the lesson .
Making him embarrassed and the class laugh every time.
At the end of it the teacher quit his job in rage and walked out.
" Wow ,Light .
What did he do ? "
Asked Yamamoto , one of the only classmates Light was close with, before he died because of vandalism .
" He joked about my suffering.
And honestly I'm sure we all hate him ."
Yamamoto nodded and walked to him to the next class .
"Anywho , I feel bad for you , why do you think you got attacked ?"
Next to the fact I technically own his death note ?
Light thought bitterly.
" I think it's because I am the smartest kid in the region and my dad is the NPA . "
" Well that makes sense . "
They walked to their next class, self study .
In the classroom things got worse for Light.
It was Takada and oh Kira she was about to confess .
Light immediately refused without even taking the letter , raising a few eyebrows of the students that were eavesdropping.
" Light , you aren't at the other side of the fence are you ? "
" No, it's just that I am not interested in you. "
Light said blankly , shocking the whole class.
In his past life he was so attached to a good reputation, even dating Misa because of it , but after living with L he learned to not care about what people think if you are competent .
It was one of the good things that happened to him in his past life .
Takada was shocked and angry at the rejection.
" What ?!"
" Do I need to repeat myself ? I said I'm not interested.
And I don't owe you an explanation as to why. "
Light said blankly and went to study , leaving a shocked class and a laughing Yamamoto behind.
The next classes were fairly normal , but the class seemed determined to prove that Light's gay for rejecting the hottest girl in class .
So Light was clearly annoyed .
" For the last time leave me alone ! Don't you all have a exam to study for ?! "
He yelled out in frustration and left the classroom, thank goodness the teacher felt his pain .
He also felt 3 heart attacks on the way out.
Kira really loves torturing me huh?
Soon the class ended and he ran out of the school .
" Jeez , it's as if I can't be interested in my studies... Wait... "
Something was up , didn't he already date Takada once ?
Was he in another universe or something ??
It could be possible...
Light then walked to the task force with a thousand of theories In his mind .
Greeting Light and the task force on the way.
Not noticing the horror that followed him .

I was in his presence...
So beautiful and pure...
But my adoration turned into pure jealousy as I saw him walking into a new building and there he was next to the kira task force .
L.
Of course Light would stay near L , he is a detective with a 100 % Success rate and the smartest detective in the world , but for some reason it jealous me that he can be so close to him.
In fact it makes me furious.
But Light wouldn't have to stay with him for long , all I have to do is to see Kira's face and return that death note to his righteous owner .
But something was wrong ,Light is worried when he entered the task force office.
He is clearly uncomfortable with L .
But maybe I'm overlooking it ,Light's an angel after all.
But the signs don't lie .
Biting nails , pinching hands and avoiding eye contact, clear signs of nervousness, uncomfortable feelings or fear .
Maybe he's just a big fan of L and is nervous but I can't help to sense that something is missing .
Something is ... wrong .
But don't worry Light , I will protect you.
...
Light was coming closer on who Kira is , he can feel it , all he has to do was to prove that the Death note exists without getting arrested .
But something was off with L.
He seems determined, more than last time to catch Kira.
Why ?
Was he actually not trying to catch me when... no no no !! I
I am NOT kira !!
I took a deep breath and pinched my hand .
" Light are you okay??"
" Yes L , I'm fine. "
" You are getting worse at your lying every time Light , now let me get the med-kit. "
Wait...
" What do you mean ?"
" Light-kun was lying about being fine since you got here.
It seems you are forgetful too . "
L said and I look at him confused as he bandaged my hand
L looked at my hand for a few seconds before getting back to work .
Leaving an awkward air around the confused task force .
Till Matsuda went fan boying over Misa again.
I smile and went back to work.

L P.O.V
He knows .
I look at Light in pity when he was talking to Sayu about their day .
He remembers what happened in the past.
From what I've heard from Soichiro Light is a big fan of mine , so why wasn't he excited when I bandaged his arm or pulled away when my eyes looked at his too long ?
He probably already is adjusted to my mannerisms , due to remembering the past.
And it's kind of weird how Light isn't the clean freak he is in his past life , at first he was the same then slowly started to wear casual around them.
Was his clothing an act to cover his insecurities ?
It is also provable that Light also changed a lot .
He was actually smiling , though rare but when he does it makes my heart warm .
But where is the second kira ?
They arrived around this time in our first life .
I bite in my cookie and start to search up about all the deaths .
And bingo .
Criminals being killed once every week ever since September 2nd .
A amazing and careful technique, but the first Kira doesn't follow patterns .
And I'm going to catch you Kira.
