บท 97: Your very presence is suffocating

After a series of exhaustive meetings, Suzy sank into the comfort of her swivel chair. Chris, attentively poured her a glass of water, handing it to her with a reassuring smile.

Just then, Daniel strode into the office, a file in his hand. "Suzy, this file requires your signature," he announced, his words trailing off as he noticed Chris's presence. His cheerful demeanor faded instantly, replaced by a palpable tension. Despite that he greeted Chris, but his words lacked their usual warmth.

Chris, choosing to maintain his composure, didn't respond to Daniel's cold greeting. Suzy, however, was quick to reprimand her husband for his disrespectful attitude towards Daniel, her friend and secretary.

"Hey, Daniel! I hope my presence here isn't too bothersome for you," Chris retorted, his words laced with a hint of sarcasm.
