"What did you mean by that?" His friend, just like him at the beginning, had no clue. 

Truthfully, Damon thought the older gentleman might have gone senile. Nevertheless, he was still the head of one of the largest pharmaceutical industries he wished to be a part of.

He still needed his approval. Therefore, he had to play this right and follow his wishes. So far, he knew he was ahead compared to his other competition. He just had to bring it to the home stretch.

"Why can't you trust me?" Damon still thought it was absurd. The entire business community knew he was a man of integrity. His word was as good as a bulletproof contract.

He sat in the man's office, wondering how to convince him to accept his business proposal. But he seemed determined not to take him seriously as he continued playing mini-indoor golf on the other side of his office.
